Its completely normal to have rolls when we sit down.

I wanted to be close to the weight I was in my late teens, I was never 'thin', always had curves so at 5ft 2, 125lbs looked good on me. And I did get there but found I was a bit gaunt looking and it was really hard to stay there, I had to be so vigilent about my calorie intake so have settled a few pounds heavier now and…

yeah, wishful thinking that 200 calories burn - good luck with bursting that bubble LOL

As we get closer to our goal weight loss slows off, you were fortunate to see weekly losses up til 3 weeks ago, when I was losing I found I would go 3 weeks BEFORE I would see any loss, then that would repeat. So bear with it, the scale will move yet. Are you tracking your calorie intake? You didn't say what height you are…

Don't think there can be any negatives  unless you plan on doing excess miles every single day, which is what I did a few years ago and burned myself out not to mention my poor heels and feet were suffering too (had to let go of my step tracker eventually because I couldn't stand to see less than 20k+ steps a day)

If you are maintaining within that 5lbs then you are maintaining just fine (most of us have a +/-?lb range) - perhaps you overly restrict your calories during the week? Also you say you binge at the weekends, but is it just a bit of overeating which you feel guilty about?

Loving this post @mylittlerainbow  For me maintenance means: Not having to worry about weighing my foods any more, years of practice means I know instinctively portion sizes - I find I don't even have to log my food to maintain my weight. Eating intuitively comes naturally. A consistent exercise habit - its become a…

Some days we have hungry days, and thats more so when we've been eating at calorie deficit for a while or if we're new to being in deficit. Could be hormonal. You could find that this is an isolated hungry day. Could be because you did more exercise yesterday or earlier..theres a host of reasons why we have hungry days.…

I really wouldn't worry about going over on fats, the proof is there already for you that all is well saying you are maintaining your weight

I'm always coldrife too, layer up, thats all you can do - thermal vests/bottoms etc and even thermal socks.

I love seeing this kind of update, its not all about the scale - way to go!

Congratulations  maintaining our weight is no different from when we were aiming to lose, we just get some extra calories to work with. So if you were losing 1/2lb a week, you know you can now eat an extra 250cals a day - in other words an extra snack, or increase the size of your meals a little. All the best with…

Our weight fluctuates a lot anyway, I can be up/down 3lbs in any one week (for a host of reasons from high sodium or high carb days which means I hold on to extra water) I'm petite and have been in maintenance for several years. Keep on doing what you have been and give it another few weeks yet before you adjust your…

both! its all about being consistent and regularly working out.
-
If you've been sitting consistently in the 140s for some time you have basically been already maintaining.
-
Loving this update  and am pretty envious that you get to eat so many calories to eat, but the last 6 weeks have taught you a lot.

'stress of exercising' - for me any stress I have is relieved by exercising. I would feel more stressed NOT to have got my morning workout in, because I always feel so much more ready to take on whatever the day may bring after that.

Its all about the calories. I do IF / 16:8, I eat plenty during that 8 hour window, but I keep an eye on the calories too - because weight loss only happens if we take in less calories than we burn - there's nothing magical about Intermittant Fasting but it suits me perfectly, its my preference as I find it 'easy' to do.
-
Most of us have go to meals and know the calories instinctively after a period of logging anyway, the only issue sometimes can be without logging snacks can add up but you would know yourself if you are a snacker and could still mentally keep them to what they should be to be within your maintenance calories. Its like…

We're maintenance twins  wish I could say my calorie allowance was higher but don't have the privilege yet of being retired and having more time to be active... one day though hopefully

I have to say personally I'm not a believer in the body having a set point.

500 calories can actually be a filling dinner.

+1

agreed

Yep its hard to go back to deficit :/ I've been sitting at the top end of my maintenance range for months, even started to creep up a tad higher so I've HAD to get my head back in gear and on a losing streak once again - its hard because for 7 years I maintained pretty darned effortlessly...but snacks can creep in and…

Same OP its slow going for last 7lbs, took me nearly 5 months and then I found it was harder to stay there so I've made my peace with no being at my dream goal weight and hover around 5lbs above, no biggie because I'm fit, strong, my clothes fit perfectly and I'm no longer a slave to those darned scales. I'm also petite, 7…

You said yourself you have a range, most maintainers do, if I veer above that range for more than a few weeks its back to calorie deficit I go. (I'm a long term maintainer)

We can't spot reduce unfortunately. In alot of cases the size of calves is down to genetics, mine are small (13" last I checked) and were always small even when I was overweight. But its possible that the more weight you lose something might come off them. I actually wish mine were a bit bigger so I would be more in…

It definately takes a while for your head to take in that you are in fact slim - goodness I'm in year 7 of maintenance and still find it odd sometimes to catch myself in the mirror and see a slim person. I know I'm slim now, the size of my clothes tells me that, but with being overweight for the best part of 20 years its…
