I think we all expect the weight to come off quickly but that's not how the body works, even with 8 weeks, 5lbs lost is still good progress, that makes it more like an average of 0.5lb a week, so your deficit is then 1750 approx over the week. It just means you aren't burning as much as you think with your workouts. You…

Lost 3lbs ...and regained it since LOL - but that's ok, I'm in maintenance anyway..
-
p.s you've lost 1lb a week roughly, so thats a weekly deficit you've had of 3500 calories rather than the 5000-6000 you had thought, sometimes gadgets over estimate the burn.

You don't have much to lose so actually your loss to date has been good. Keep up the good work

Use a trending weight app and over time you'll see what your average weight is.. Fluctuations happen for everyone for a variety of reasons and are completely normal.

My main tip is to be active each day, just getting up and moving etc energises and makes us feel great mentally as well as physically.
-
it was a good month
-
Its not for me - I have a regular exercise habit, as you know already cos we're friends  and while I have no interest in setting goals, your idea is a good one and I'm sure there are lots of folks who would find this motivating and will be happy to join you

whats wrong with adding some calorie dense items like peanut butter, nuts, use more oil for cooking etc - its either that or cut back on your time exercising...
-
You need to up your cals, losing 1kg in a week means you've been in calorie deficit by over 1000 cals a day...
-
No 3 months isn't that long but there's nothing wrong with taking a diet break every so often and eating at maintenance calories.
-
Have you much to lose? believe it or not its actually not any harder to lose when we get older, that's just what people say/think - its always about the calories in being less that the calories out but heck, I never found it easy at any age! it takes being really vigilant about logging those calories, keeping consistently…

I've seen lots of people post about the same thing but can't say it happened to me, only wish it had LOL, nope I would ideally love to be eating more than I get in maintenance and that's even with being active... If you find you keep dropping weight you can add in some high cal foods, nuts/peanut butter or add more oil…

WOW fabulous loss, you lost a WHOLE PERSON! (I'm 130lbs so you've lost me plus a bit more  )wishing you all the best now with your fitness.

@zumbaforever you will be glad to have that surgery over. This group isn't overly active for participation, a lot of groups end up being like that but at least we see the notification if someone does post a reply. It really is the case that calories in has to be on point - I had in recent months upped my exercise but I…

and who said this? was it aimed at you personally?

what foods don't make you feel sick? have something else instead..

Yep I agree, the WW scale is rubbish, I've had mine for around 3 years - have to recalibrate it every time... I'm not bothered enough to buy a new set, if I was I'd probably go back to Salter (digital), which was the brand I had before.

I'm from Northern Ireland and I don't know of anyone who had it or who has died from it.

I've also used creme fraiche as a white sauce substitute, handy and very tasty indeed.
-
I cut calories by not adding cheese to the bechamel sauce or butter, if there's cheese on top that's enough and doesn't affect the taste IMO. (I make a basic white sauce, season with salt/pepper/nutmeg instead.)

LOVING this NSV  you rock <3

Yep both me and my husband lost weight during lock down - not that I was trying to with being in maintenance for years but we did so many projects around the house it was a nice side effect. And hubby lost 20lbs although since he's been back at work now 4 weeks he's already gained back 5...

All the best

No, if they get weird or don't say much I end up deleting them.

it has been doing that a lot lately, so far mines is syncing today but it could be shortlived...

yeah 1200 didn't cut it for me either, I ended up eating 1600 gross calories and losing 0.5lb a week, slow and steady but I wasn't hungry all the time so it felt pretty easy to do, took me almost a year to lose 20lbs - that's how slow my progress was! but it was very doable and 7 years on I'm still maintaining that goal…
-
Yep Fitbit not syncing with this app, think its an MFP issue, the main site has been down more than up lately...
-
Be kind to yourself, its not a fail but a set back - you have the choice to get back to doing what you once did very successfully to get to goal and stay there.
