Did you say you just have a couple of weeks? You need to buy it this weekend then. 90% of the time you will need it altered. JCPenney usually does it for free but it takes time.

JC Penney for sure. They can fit ANY budget and are very very good.

Exactly this. Having a good seamstress is key for jeans.

OH, I wanted to mention that my favorite quote on running use to be " unless you have a hockey mask on and a machete you will never see me run ever "

I'm working my way up to it. I adopted two 16 year old boys that are very athletic. They also are in JROTC and have to run almost everyday. I want to spend time with them so this is my goal. To run 5 miles with both my boys one day. I started walking 2.0 mph for 15 minutes on the treadmill that my inlaws bought me as a…

No my husband is completely cool with the site. He and I are in love and both mature adults. We are Christians and have pretty puritanical views compared to some. However, sometimes it can take someone from the opposite sex to motivate you. If you are already deprived in some ways maybe that could be a problem and one of…

Oh I just remember one more thing.... I have been going to massage about everey two weeks for the past 2 months. My husband says it is helping me lose weight something to do with lactic acid and toxins. I'm not sure what he meant but maybe you understand those things.

My scale does that to me too. It's a digital one that can do all sorts of things except tell me what I want to hear! lol I weigh naked at home. I'm dressed at the doctor of course with shoes and so on. That makes a bit of a difference. Maybe you could weigh at home before you walk out the door with what you have on. I also…

The FDA here is not real. They are a for profit. You will need to find an Earth Fare, Natural Foods or Fresh Market. Stick with Organic only. I would limit your dairy while your here to just what you can get by with. My family comes back and forth a lot and are practicing Muslims. It is much different....much much…

I fell for it when I was a lot younger and very neive about doctors and their motives. Please, google phentermine induced pychosis and schizophrenia. The number of reported incidents is nowhere near the truth. The pharmacutical companies pay and do everything in their power to get it off the internet. Just like cocaine…

I weigh at least twice a week. Thursday's and Monday's usually. I wish I would have measured from day one. I started measuring in December. My journey started around the end of May however I really started in August but didn't take it serious until October. Measuring is the true issue. I've seen some success stories that…

I have a slow thyroid. I am only on 50mcg's of synthroid. It is harder and yes carbs and sugar play a much bigger roll than with a person that doesn't have thyroid issues. I have been able to lose consistently since starting to exercise and stay around 1200 calories. I am disabled and live a sedentay life for the most part…

Men are fortunate in that way. A goodsuit will always be a good suit. Classy is classy...timeless. Where I am church rummage sales are the place to save money on good suits. Spring time is usually a good time to watch for them.

Agreed. You did it! Awesome work :)

Awesome! You did it! You should be very proud of yourself. If you decide to keep going that is just a persona choice don't do it to please anyone else. You are fabulous!

OHH YES... There is a book called The Dream Giver, Bruce Wilkenson I believe. One point in this very cute book is some people define who they are or aren't by who you are or are not. They may define their success by your failures. When you have a break through or dream they have to " whack a mole " it to keep you in your…

Yes, where did you measure? Sometimes, especially for females the weight comes off where we least want it to. :(

I have a friend that competed for years. He tells me that for visable abs some people have to eat a certain diet for their skin to become more thin and less thick. Don't ask me what that diet is. It made sense to me though. I'm nowhere close to seeing abs so other than that...I got nothing.

You and your husband will get through this. If either of you give up...you won't. There is times in every marriage that the balance is out of whack. Either you will be more attracted to him or vice versa. It is a cycle of change. Little things overtime are turn offs for everyone. Emerson Eggerichs has some great books.…

Fabulous!!!! You are a super hero! You have done what others say is impossible and did with pure sweat and tears. I respect that so much. My friend is almost 500 lbs. I have been afraid to share with him what is going on here at MFP but, after reading your story I know now what to tell him and show him. Congrats! :)

WHOA!!!!! YOU LOOK AMAZING! I bet just looking in the mirror makes you smile from ear to ear!!! It should :)
-
You are beautiful!!!! Congratulations on your success. You and I carry our weight a lot in the same ways. It is so encouraging to see your accomplishments!

Fish Tacos? Maybe if you try the premade for a little bit she will be willing. Sam's and Walmart sell a parmesean crusted tilapia that is very very good. Maybe another fish for awhile? Cod with just olive oil and lemon pepper or Salmon with soy sauce and honey.

Hi my name is Kristen. My husband told me last Valentine's day that what he wanted for next year was for me to be in a bikini on the beach sipping a pina colada. Well...of course it only made me mad, hurt and all that self pitty stuff too. It took me to Memorial May 29th to even consider trying to change. I joined MFP at…

Hi Jen, I'm sorry your pain is a pain ;) I get it, I'm disabled with the same dd and some other issues. I had to take it slow but, now some days I can walk for 45min to an hour. I lost over 30 lbs just walking 2.0 to 2.5 mph for 20-30minutes at a time so far. At first it was horrible but it has been 2 and a half months…

I haven't played. Some in our group have but, differ on which edition we should get for the group. We won a package at the last Con that had over $300 in board games. We still haven't made it through all of them the way we would like. This work thing gets in the way of fun way too much.

Has anyone read some of the old books?
