  • Welcome back, I'm second timing too after a stressful few months, although nothing compared to how yours has been mind. Wishing you all the best for 2014!
  • I think you'll find Weightwatchers is the similar but with points instead of calories! My understanding of the 1200 calories is that it gives you a boost which helps you stick with it long term. It sounds like it doesn't suit you to go so low in a diet, it may be worth checking it out with your doctor just to be on the…
  • Hi, I've started back on Rosemary Conley this week and on 1200 calories now, I've never had a problem with it (5' 1", 10st 8), I feel a bit hungry but definitely not ill as you describe. You've done the right thing, upping the calories. Do you go to classes? I would speak to the franchisee about it, that's what they are…
  • Perhaps they went wrong by leaving mfp?!! This is still my first go, I think keeping a diary is the main thing that keeps me on track so when I reach my goal I intend to carry on with it to maintain. It's become a part of my daily routine, to the amusement of my family but hey, it's working for me! I'll also be interested…
  • You could give pilates a try, it works on the core muscles and I've always found that works better (and is kinder than crunches etc).
  • I take: Multivitamin/mineral; Garlic; Probiotic; Omega 3-6-9 oil capsule; Glucosamine; B complex (I would have thought there was enough in the multi vit but I really feel the difference when I take/stop taking it); Chromium (trying it again for PCOS). My partner and my dad have had a nasty cold recently that lasted a…
  • I used to eat loads of fruit through the day, because with slimming world you can, but now I limit it to 2-3 servings a day, and much smaller portions than before. I doubt it's the only reason for my weight loss but it has helped!
  • I wish my parents had educated me in nutrition when I was a child. I wouldn't say I was fed rubbish food but from what I remember there was a fair bit of processed meals.. sausages, fish fingers that sort of thing but with veg. I used to go out to play all the time, computers weren't really around then! Sweets were a rare…
  • I've got two pairs of the Merrell bare foot trainers, my partner has a pair as well as a pair of the vibram fivefingers. I love them, so comfy and light and they've been washed a couple of times (in cold water with a bit of detergent) and they're still going strong!
  • Hi, It's been working for me, but I do also go to Rosemary Conley classes so I had to adjust it, that said I didn't have to adjust the daily goal by very much so I think MFP is fairly accurate. I couldn't be without this app, it makes keeping track so easy! Good luck! Ange x
  • I've found it gets easier over time. When I was first diagnosed nearly 5 years ago (using the term loosely because the Dr never really investigated it), I found it diificult to avoid those trigger foods and often craving them. Your body does adapt and get used to enjoying other things instead. Don't give yourself too hard…
  • Thanks for sharing about the programme, will have to watch that
  • Hi, I'm from Hertfordshire. I joined up on here about two weeks ago, I'm following the Rosemary Conley plan and it's my first weigh in tonight, eek! MFP has been great for keeping track. I lost just over a stone at Slimming World but plateaued after that so decided on a different approach, still have about another 2 stone…
