  • It waxes and wanes, that's normal. Try not to worry. Just because you aren't ready at the drop of a hat, doesn't mean you can't be ready. Give yourself some time...
  • The only way to know 100% is to get a heart rate moniter. However, Jillian's DVDs seem to line up best with general circuit training.
  • A hybrid bike is good for leisure biking and works on road and for light trail riding. That's really your best option for all around biking. You can get them at really good prices too, but make sure you go to an actual bike shop.
  • I second that, I had to do it too.
  • Thanks guys, now I don't feel so bad about it!
  • it won't take long, just put them in a plastic bag - like a ziplock and put it in warm for like 15 minutes. (NOT boiling). Works like a charm every time. I never defrost fish. Or chicken...or anything else for that matter...
  • To know exactly you would need a heart rate monitor. I find that general circuit training gets the calories to the closest.
  • Yes, this totally happens. I think part of it is skin and the other part is fat breaking up. Just use lots of lotion and keep doing what you're doing. Eventually things will tighten up.
  • Use the guided MFP options, they are really good. And just start with calorie counting and walking. You can do this! Feel free to add me as a friend.
  • Do what works for you. I simply can not "eat clean" all week long - so I try and just give myself a little of what I want. Plus, if I allow myself a "cheat day" I am very likely to go WAY overboard and negate all the work I did that week. You're better off having those chips and then just trying to work them off (walking…
  • Oh and I also have done acupuncture and that worked wonders! Highly reccommended. I had to stop though because I lost my insurance.

  • I've been getting migraines since I was a kid. The only thing I can say is to try and head it off and take either a prescription or I like excedrin as soon as he feels the symptoms start. Pain killers only dull the pain for me though, I still have all the other symptoms, but without the pain my day is at least tolerable.…

  • Ice bath and ibuprofen. JM does super high impact stuff and it can really hurt. Do some low impact until you are feeling better, and until then ice and ibuprofen. (I used to play soccer very competitively and I have the worst knees ever! This is the only thing that help with the pain) Just don't stop, you don't want…
  • Wow, that is really hard. I think everyone can relate to the feelings you're having, and I can understand how devastating this must feel. But I think the question you have to ask yourself is why are you sabotaging yourself? Is there something else that you aren't dealing with?
  • I work for Williams Sonoma, check out the website we have really good ones. (I'm really not trying to promote, but it's good product) - the only one I wouldn't reccommend is the the oxo one. They have a tendency to crap out. I personally want the nutritional scale, but haven't broken down yet. Salter is a great brand.
  • I hate to say it, but "bad weekends" can negate all of the work you do during the week. You should try and eat clean on the weekends as well for a couple of weeks and just see if that is where the problem is. Just a suggestion.
  • If you don't want to nuke them, either use a toaster oven on warm or set your oven to the lowest temperature (it'll take a while but it won't "cook" them.)
  • I like to go for a walk by myself and just listen to my ipod. Usually I listen to podcasts, especially ones that make me laugh. It really helps. I also like to do arts and crafts, there is something so cathartic about using your hands and creating a piece of art.

  • Seriously! I had no idea that I was having such issues with sodium! WTF? I can not figure out how this happens...ok - I know how it happens but jeezy creezy it's unbelievable how much sodium is in stuff.
  • In all seriousness that's a good way of looking at it. I personally just try to think of the exercise I'm going to have to do to burn off what I just ate. That's enough to get me to stop.
  • Eggs are expensive. Especially the organic ones, I think I would cry if I dropped one. What!? It's not milk, I can cry...
  • This makes sense to me! I definitely think that I do the same thing. Weird.
  • This hurts my brain.

  • I'm sorry this is what's going on. Like the other poster said, professional help is the only way to go. If money is an issue, just google low fee counseling in your area and there will be options for you. Good luck and know that you are in control and know that you can do the right thing by your body. Please stay safe and…
  • Ditto to circuit training.
  • It probably has something to do with the way the carbonators are calibrated. I'm sure some fountains come out as more. Fountain sodas are set up with huge bibs of the syrup and the water and carbonation is added as it's coming out of the fountain. So, yeah, I would guess it has to do with calibration.
  • Simple answer, yes. I've yo-yo'd all my life, and when I was skinny I felt fat and being fat I feel even fatter. Just think of all the little tiny girls out there who think they're fat. It's really hard to have a realistic perspective on yourself. Honestly, I don't know if there is a way to get over it, but I think the…
  • The more weight you have to lose the bigger a deficit you can get away with, but if you need to lose 20 lbs or less you have to be a bit more careful - or at least that is my understanding from what I have read.
  • Ask your body. Is what you are doing working for you? Are you losing weight? There are a lot of conflicting viewpoints on this topic here. So, if it works, do it. If it stops working, you may have to eat more, just listen to your body.
