The only other thing I can suggest is that there are some birth control pills that help with bloating. Some make it worse, but you could ask your gyno which ones help. But overall I think you are better off in the long run understanding and accepting your body's fluctuations.

Our bodies bloat for a reason. You can't really stop it. Learning your cycle will definitely help - I highly suggest doing so! :smile: I know I bloat when I ovulate and then again when I menstruate.

I agree with just don't weigh yourself at those times. I know there are times when my pants are just a bit too tight and it's not because I'm gaining weight, so I don't get on the scale. I would just try and give opposing (ahem - correct) information in a way that is just presenting another viewpoint. If it really bugs you, find some research articles to cite and leave it at that. Just don't play into the whole "I know more than you" thing.

^^^this - go for more calorie dense foods that are good for you. Then you get your calories without having to pack in tons of food. A banana and 2 tbs of PB on an english muffin is like 380 calories and really yummy! Maybe try protein shakes.

I've heard this too, I think what you need to look at is how many calories you're burning. I would think that if say you are power walking at an incline that you'd burn more than running flat, but it's all relative. Burn calories, burn fat.

Your muscles retain water in order to heal. Normal. Weighing in once a week is a very good idea since your weight will fluctuate daily.

Stringing him along is worse. If he is such a great guy, he deserves to find someone who feels attracted and in love with him. In the end you're being selfish because you would feel bad for hurting him, well, you're hurting him either way.

Mainly I count calories, I've done my best to eat clean (no processed foods) and I try to workout at least 3 days a week.

Call the companies HR department and report him, then go online to the BBB and report them and then file a complain with OSHA because that kind of mental abuse is not acceptable. Edit: I think also you'll be able to get unemployment if you say that the reason you left was because of abuse.
