I just want to be fit and strong. My Bf is a gym nut and lifts crazy heavy (he could lift me at my heaviest soooo). My ultimate goal is weight loss, but I don't want to lose a bunch of weight and then build muscle. I know more muscle will help me burn those calories too. I have no desire to be a body builder, but I also…

I wasn't really trying to fix what isn't broken. I got conflicting information from two amazing trainers, and wanted to make sure that I am maximizing my time in the gym.
-
Bahh... Why do you guys feel that way? I worked really hard last night- was dripping with sweat.. I lifted to failure for each of my sets. I want to feel the burn, but I don't want to be working out for hours to get there...

Heyyy I'm technically on week 3 too. I think I'm going to go back to Jamie's way... I'll start day 1 today and forget what I did yesterday.
-
That's what I had been doing (I'm doing Jamie Eason's 12 week LiveFit trainer) so I had been grouping it like that.. But This guy confused me... He's a trainer too and he had other suggestions that were great.. Just wasn't sure what to do.

That's the US for you.

How many points do you get? A can of pepsi is 5 points. You had BUTTERED popcorn. Butter is 1 point per tsp... A medium popcorn at the theatre with butter on it is THIRTY THREE points... Did you have white rice or brown? What was in the stirfry sauce? If I added up those things the way I would eat them it would be 16…

My boyfriend works very closely with the CEO of the company he works for. They are both health nuts and he is always telling me about the lunches they bring while the other employees eat the "catered" lunch. What if they brought in big trays of pasta and you were a celiac and couldn't eat anything? Should you eat it…

No. My lymph nodes swell when I am stressed. For the year during the time when my mother was fighting cancer, I had swollen lymph nodes.. I had lots of tests, but shortly after she died they went away.

I'm kind of shocked that people are suggesting he cave in to "peer pressure" and eat unhealthily! Who cares what they think! I'm pretty sure you can't fire someone for wanting to eat healthy. And if they don't like him for not eating fried chicken, that's pretty ridiculous.

Yeah, I was agreeing.

I'm from Vancouverrr!

I talked to someone who was a contestant on the Biggest Loser several seasons ago, and she said if she wants a peice of cake she will take the caloric value of that peice of cake and ask herself if it's worth an EXTRA hour in the gym. If she thinks it is, she will have it and add that time to her gym schedule for the day.

I agree. It cost me (well, my insurance covered it) $500 to speak with a dietician and I was given the canada food guide, which I could have printed online.... I was disappointed and VERY glad I didn't pay for it myself. I'm not sure if technically a dietician and a nutritionist is considered the same thing, but I have…

Also, go weigh yourself. Chances are if you've eaten a bunch already, you will be up maybe a few pounds just from the weight of the food/drink and it will freak you out in to stopping. I also will add up the calories I know I've eaten in that binge, usually it's a wake up call, and will make me stop. Last night I was…

That's exactly what I was going to say. If I've eaten something salty, I want something sweet. If I have had something sweet, I want something salty.. It's a vicious cycle. So I brush my teeth, and I want nothing after something minty. I will also force myself to chug a full glass of water which will fill my stomach and…

OMG OMG OMG OMG this makes me want to freaking murder people!! I have nooooo idea how soooooo many adults cannot spell LOSE. Loose is what you want your pants to be, and you have to LOSE weight to make that happen.
-
Are they ItWorks body wraps? I have used those and LOVE them. I plan on using them for the next 40 lbs I have to lose!
-
I watched both of my parents die several years ago.. I gained 60 lbs over those 5 years. Now what I do is go to the gym and take it out on the weights. The endorphins help a LOT. I always feel like a rockstar when I leave.
-
Do you have hypothyroidism? If not then this doesn't even apply to you.
-
I would just eat a little less than you normally would. Make sure it fits in to your calories
-
Wow that gives me hope!
-
I agree with you. I weight 206.4 and am 5'4 and I am on week 3 of Jamie Eason's 12 week LiveFit trainer... I never see anyone with anywhere near my stats trying it. I'm LOVING it so far. I feel like a freakin rockstar in the gym and already feel stronger. Good luck! Stick to it and you'll do great!
-
Agree. Excuses excuses. I know lots of people that can't cook at alllll but still eat meals.

31 to 38. I'm 25

Ooooh I leave for cuba in 32 days. It was a half way point reward!
-
I should also add that my BF NEVER shuts up about my butt after doing this challenge. I had a butt before, but now it's round and firm and I litterally have to beat him away from me.
-
I did this in March and loved it. Up until this point I had never done squats before. After completing the month I am now focusing on way less reps but can add more weight than anyone I know. I do 3 sets of 15 reps.

QUOTE: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/952996-level-obstacles-lose-weight-target-fat-easy This should help you out. It's very easy to follow. This is the simplest explanation. Did you read it? Do you have specific questions still? And then that guys calculations says it should be 2146.4....
