You know I would agree with you except I saw an interview with him and he kind of seemed liked a douche... But maybe that was just his "professional athlete" attitude showing through.

I think Louis Smith, gymnast for Great Britain, is really, really, really attractive.

If I were going to Turkey, I would be walking EVERYWHERE just so I could get a good look at everything! As far as food goes, if I felt unsure about the calorie content, I would not eat the whole portion, and then over estimate calories. But also, it's vacation! As long as you are just aware of your intake, I think there is…

I think it's stupid and silly that NBC did that, but American viewers didn't all collectively say "We don't want to see that! Not American enough!" I believe a lot of people would have enjoyed it, and maybe it would have been good for some Americans to see it, to perhaps increase their global perception.

Food Rules and The Omnivore's Dilemma both by Michael Pollan. They both explore the way modern humans produce and consume food, what we're doing incorrectly, and how we can adjust our habits to create a more harmonious and healthy global system. My other two favorites are on a completely different subject--they are called…

I live in an urban area with lots of health-minded independent grocery stores, so they are easy to find for me. Places like Whole Foods most likely have them. I just went to the website and they have a store locator!

Beanitos--they are like tortilla chips but they are made out of pinto or black beans, brown rice, and flax seeds. They are high in fiber, a good source of protein, relatively low in carbohydrates with a low GI (as compared to other chips) and low in sodium. They are also corn free and gluten free. AND, they. Taste. Amazing.…

Ahhh you're doing so well! Can I ask how long you've been working at it, and what methods you have been using? I have a ring goal too, but mine is slightly different. I got married when I was heavier than my current weight, and I am excited for when it won't stay on my finger and I have to wear it around my neck! It is…

I wake up, pee, and weigh.

Breakfast: Beanitos with full fat cottage cheese, a cup of chopped pineapple. Lunch: Cup of potato soup, mixed greens lightly dressed, dinner roll. Tonight I'm having dinner at a food cart with some friends, not sure what I am going to get, considering food cart food is mostly made for drunk people (fried, fatty, salty,…

I have a similar problem, especially because I almost never go to chain restaurants. My method for dealing with this is trying to only order dishes that are relatively simple--meat and veg, simple pasta, etc. Dishes that probably have less than five ingredients, not including seasonings. If the restaurant doesn't have…

"My body and physical appearance have no value anyway, so I don't care if I am fat forever."

Am I the only one who has a huge problem with the texture? I think I was expecting such a different mouth feel it kind of shocked me. I tried the fettuccine shaped shirataki, do different shapes feel different at all? I really am tempted to retry them because I didn't mind the flavor and the calorie content can't be beat.

I have told basically everyone I see on a regular basis--husband, family, friends, coworker. The last time I tried to lose weight, I did not tell anyone for the same reason a lot of people don't--did not want people to see me fail. I decided to tell everyone this time because I feel like it keeps me accountable. I still…

I love this success story. I completely agree and hope I can do it someday too. You go.

Congratulations! I would say the only way to know is to try it! A full week in plenty of time to experiment with it and "de bloat" before the wedding. If youre nervous, try eat half a cob and and see What happens.

Wow! That is so fantastic. I think you look amazing even without that last fifteen pounds!

Uhhh, I dot want to get in to a fight with you or derail the thread, so i will say this and then head out of here--I was saying she looks a lot smaller than 280. Like, not physically possible she is 280. She's like a size 12. You would think with all the thousands of posts you have on here you'd be able to interpret a…

Do you mean you weigh 180? Or are you like, seven feet tall? I would definitely try squats and heavy lifting to tone. Your legs will look a lot slimmer once you lose the fat.

Sometimes I will buy a crappier version of something I love har because I know I won't binge on it. I would say ruining food, however, is a good way to give yourself a little bit of a complex. Or maybe you already have one!

Mystery Solved.

Yes, the weight loss is built in to the formula. Eat the amount of calories you have alotted per day.

I have been losing about two pounds a week on average (I am at 22 lbs just under two months). We don't own a car and we live in the city, so we walk/bike everywhere. I also view my calorie goal as an upper limit (I know lots of people would like to slap me on the wrist for that) and try to stay well under, and not eating…

Two things: I completely understand wanting MFP to be your territory. It can be frustrating and intimidating if people you are close to start using it, I think because there is a chance it could become a competition, or it will be the thing everyone wants to talk to you about when you're around. Also, don't sweat FB,…

Little kids and one demented old lady have commented on the imaginary baby in my belly. Laugh at yourself and remember why you're trying to slim down in the first place!

I also have a large frame. 5'7, started around 300 pounds size 22, and I have no idea what I am actually shooting for. My body has a very even distribution of fat, I don't have any extra large parts. I would really like to be added as well!

Gotta have something to pee out!

Too much of anything is a bad thing, even water. I imagine what the physician was trying to say is that it's relatively simple to get the day's requirement of water from food as well as drink. My experience is the more water i drink, the faster i lose. I do not think your consumption of water is not curbing your weight…

Greek yogurt and granola, whole wheat toast with peanut butter, oatmeal, omelet with lots of veggies, anything with lots of protein to keep you full through mid morning. Breakfast should be a good sized meal.
