Well done, that's what i tell people i work with. I see them talking or doing some sort of fad diet but you never really see any lasting results as they end up putting the weight back. I tell them to use MFP or a similar app it there is one, and that's all they need to start with. Still waiting to see at least one person…

This is new to me (PPL), I will give it a go for at least 2 months and reassess then. I may continue with it, or switch to a different lifting program (TBH i can get easily bored at the gym if I keep doing the same thing over and over). Also, I am training with a hernia, i wear a special belt to help. So while i give 100%,…

Thanks!!, very good point about increasing the rep when possible.

My 2 pence, take it slow if losing weight is your goal, better go slow and steady than rushing and fail
-
Thanks, maybe it takes in consideration weight and height....., because in map my walk, I could not see anything to enter the data

Awesome man!! What lifting program are you following?

175cm male, started beginning of December 2017 just under 89kg (the heaviest i have been ever), started with MFP cutting my calories intake to lose 0.25kg per week (i did not want to make it too hard because I knew I may give up). Last weight in, 2 days ago, down to 79.2kg (almost 10kg gone). For exercise, I started with…

Thank you!

OK thank you, by progress i guess you mean lifting heavier, not body change progress? Correct?
-
Quick question, I have started doing PPL, how long shall i stay on this program? Do you have to change your programme at some stage or just carry on? TIA
-
Great results, that's what i say to the people i work with, some of them trying every single fad diet available on the market. I tell to install MFP or whatever else, and just monitor what they eat, add some exercise if they feel like it and they will lose the weight. It's actually that simple if there are no medical…

Don't forget to stretch before and after your runs/walks, worth spending 10mins doing it. No sure what you use to carry the extra weight, but make sure that it is well suited/fitted for you too

Started on December 4, 2017 at 86.9kg, down to 80.2kg on last weigh in, that's about 14.7lbs i think. It has been easier than i thought, though i am struggling to eat some of the food i was eating before. Still need to lose another 10lbs. I have to say that MFP has been an eye opener on how much food I was eating before,…

Wow!!!

You are looking great, very inspirational

Wow, you look completely different, and I mean in a good way... Well done

Feel free to add me

OK thank you. Except for the bacon and chorizo, i would say that the rest were "healthy" ingredients, there were entries for homemade pesto pasta salad, but 450gr were giving me ~1000 calories, which seems a lot. Next time i will try what you said, weighting all the raw ingredients and then weight the final dish, and…

Thank you!!!

I have hit my target (well 80.2kg), I probably still need to lose a little bit but not too much, i don't want to look too skinny. It has been easier than I thought, saying that i was ill for about 3 weeks with a very nasty cold/chest infection, so no gym for almost 1 month, so my appetite was pretty dire. Just started…

Thank you!!!

T Thank AnvilHead, that's some good advice you are giving me. I am about just over 1kg from my current goal. BMI still a bit too high but as you said I am not too worried about it. Once I reach my goal, I see how easy it is to maintain, if I can afford to lose another couple of kgs, i will set a new goal
-
That's what i am thinking too, once i reach my bodyweight goal, I will concentrate on lifting a bit more to tone, and you are spot on saying that if you are happy with what you see when you look at the mirror, I should not worry too much about some scientific guidelines

Yes that's a lot of time to prepare. Maybe take part in a few 100km local races if you have any. Could you join a cycling club, you will always find riders with a lot of knowledge and ready to help you to achieve your goals, plus it's quite fun to go out in a group, and if you are not as fast as they are, this will…

This. If you have to ride 100km a day and you have got all day, yes it is a challenge but doable with a bit of training. If it's a race, then it's a different ball game. If you need to train i would recommend starting with what you can manage currently, and increase the distance by 10% every week until you get comfortable.…

Some of these stories are just so motivating, this is an amazing transformation, well done my friend

Not sure, I am not at home right now, but it was a small loaf, and the slide are pretty small compared to "normal" loaf

Went to Iceland this morning and bought a loaf of Warburtons - Seeded Batch (85 calories per slice), that would do for now. I will check some of the other mentioned bread next time i go shopping to a bigger supermarket. Thank you

Thank you for this, I could always buy one and freeze it. Never had an allergy to white flour, but lately it seems that white bread tends to make my stomach balloon. Thanks for all the other suggestion, ideally all the ones that are under 100 calories will do (as long as they are wholemeal), right now it's just a matter to…
