I would say normal, but I am not an expert. Hot bath may help a bit, some stretching too. JC

I would if I had the time, but with family/work commitment it is not that easy. I workout everyday though but not for that long JC

Seems that you went back to it too quickly. I donated a kidney last November and was told to wait at least 3 months before exercising. I did listen to the doctors, and even after 3 months I could feel that my body wasn't ready to push myself the way I used to (was very active before the surgery). On the 3 months mark, I…

OK thanks for the explanation, I am doing SL 5x5, so the weight I have given you is my maximum on 5 reps, sometimes I can't do the last one. JC

Sorry to jump in the thread DavPul, what is a while, I am still eating at a deficit because I need to lose another 3 to 4 pounds. When can you say that you are lifting heavy? For example I am only bench pressing 60/65kg, is this not considered heavy lifting (I weight 77.0kg). Thanks JC

This, used to have my kids doing it thus now they are too heavy. Roll a towel like a tight sausage and place on the floor, lie on the towel so that your spine follow the towel (hope I am making myself clear), relax your shoulders on either the side of the towel, it doesn't always work but I managed to do it a few times.…

MTB and occasional road biking (getting nervous with traffic these days). I have been off for the past 5 months but got back on the saddle yesterday. Did a 14 miles loop, mixture of off road and road. It was great to be back. Now lets hope that the trails get really dry... JC

Well done on the weight loss, surely you must feel so much better not carrying that weight around JC
-
Same as above, Insanity 3 times a week, stronglift 5x5 3 times a week, some cardio work (running), and starting MTB again because the weather is getting better and hopefully the trails will be drying. JC

Same here, would love to do it. Did it for a while at my local gym but they did not have all the equipment so I could not really do the WOD some days. My nearest Crossfit gym is £70/month, it is just too much for me. A friend of mine opened a gym a while ago, and advertised as a Crossfit venue, but he had to remove all the…

keep practising, you will get better. I am very unflexible (is that a word??), but since I have been doing Insanity and doing the stretches I am getting better JC

No, it will gave you length of workout, calories burned, heart rate, what zone you are in - fitness or fat burn Sue, sometimes I wet mine, sometimes I don't. My first FT7 went wrong within a few days, even changing the battery did not do. New one, so far has been ok. Some people recommend some conductive gel, I run mine…

Thanks for the link, as a 51 yr old guy, it gives me some kind of hope... JC

Bumping this for some of the links, thanks JC

Did you try to wash the strap? Apparently they can get "dirty" and stop the watch reading from it JC

Have a towel near by to, you will sweat a lot! JC
-
Thank you. I am getting there slowly but surely. I will post some pics soon, took some a few weeks back and waiting to see some real change before posting the after ones JC

Absolutely true, if I don't train/have an activity I am in a very bad mood, when I train I feel happier, sleep better etc JC

Thanks, yes it is hard work but worth the effort! JC
-
No you are not, I, so far managed to do about 2 sets of the last 2 exercises before collapsing out of breath  Insanity is not easy if you give in 100% JC
-
I like my Polar FT 7, does exactly what I was after, workout duration, calories burned and keep an eye on my HR. The first one I received from Amazon went faulty but was replaced very swiftly . JC

Thanks for that JC

Always try to work out in the morning, and get it out of the way. Later in the day, domestic shores, tiredness, kids get in the way and feel like I can't be bothered exercising. Sometimes I get a spike in the evening (20:00) and if my wife allows me  I will nip to the gym for an 30mins intensive workout. But…

You must be very happy with that, you are looking good (almost like a different person) Keep it going!! JC

Absolutely amazing!! Some people are just so talented JC

Thanks, I will carry on with the routine then JC

Thanks, Patience is not my forte unfortunately, but I still enjoy working out so it's not as bad as it could be, just would be nice to see those babies disappear JC
