  • Great comments from everyone! While looking at them the other day, the salesman told me Sole was the 'commercial' grade elliptical to buy, when I looked up consumer ratings on line I didn't even see their name! So I was skeptical. But I definitely want something that lasts! Thank you so much for taking the time to respond,…
  • Congrats! You look healthy and happy! You are an inspiration!
  • I'm from the 'wicked good' state of Maine...we're called Maine-iacs
  • Who would have thought all MFPers could be stand up comedians! You guys/gals are AWESOME! Thanks for the much needed laugh!
  • I loved your post!! You're so right, wearing clothes that are frumpy does make us feel frumpy! Keep up the good work and I can't wait to shop for 'normal' clothes!
  • I'm thinking I'll need to for a while after I reach my goal weight, BUT if I can do it without logging I will, I just don't have the time!
  • You can always lace the lunch with something to teach the thief a lesson! Oh wait this is America, you'll go to jail for that.
  • Taking a walk with my hubby and smelling the sweet Fall air and then noticing the CAT came along for the walk...over 1 mile in the woods. He 'meowed' the whole time!
  • 113 days - 42 lbs GONE BABY GONE!

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR RESCUING HER!!!!!!!! Why do people get animals and then NOT take care of them properly?? She has come into your life for a reason. She will bring you much joy and happiness as you will her. My best friend had a ferret once-it would 'steal' things and hide them in a dresser drawer in their master…
  • Never had ANY interest in it what-so-ever. No time for it either.
  • You handled this correctly. I'm so happy you went to the manager. I am also sorry this happened to you. Why she felt compelled to say anything to you PERIOD (except maybe 'Hi how are you?' is beyond me. Maybe next time when you go in...she won't be there cuz she was FIRED. Congrats on your 46 lbs loss! Rock on…
  • Ooo RAH! Get some Marine !!
  • I quit soda years ago, it's SO NOT GOOD FOR YOU (Mtn Dew was my drug). So I am VERY happy for you that you quit and cold turkey is the only way. I make my own unsweetened ice tea (you can make it decaf as well) and I put lemon juice in it. You can put sliced cucumbers in your water to 'flavor' it. The bottom line is, soda…
  • I want to have your problem!!! Hee Hee, but seriously, my nutritionist says to eat when you are hungry. Like don't get to the point where you can gnaw off your own arm, but in order for your body to 'run' efficiently you should be hungry when you eat. Now, having said that-if you are still experiencing this in a day or…

  • SO HAPPY FOR YOU! I'm still waiting for someone to stop mid-sentence and ask me if I've lost weight. Of course, I told NO ONE I was trying to get healthy (except hubby) so it will be interesting to see if anyone does notice. I started feeling bad around 25 lbs lost and no one said anything, then I stopped myself and said…
  • Feel free to add me! I have a LOT of weight to lose-90 more lbs to go! But am always looking for new MFP friends! Congrats on your achievements!!

  • I think you have a good idea about quitting things slowly. However, I did it cold turkey...the only time I crave a sweet now is when I am stressed. BUT if I give in, I know I'll just quit the healthy life and go CRAZY. Back to eating chips, sweets and processed foods. So, for me, just saying no is gonna be part of my life…
  • You're gaining MUSCLE, it weighs more than fat and the more muscle you have...the more fat you burn. Keep up the good work and I totally wish I could work out for 90 minutes at a time! I'm doing 30 minutes and that's all I can handle. You'll be fine! I promise!
  • WOW!! Great job and VERY inspirational! Thank you for the advice!
  • I LOVE IT!! You look so wonderful and HAPPY! How great you have truly taken control of your life and health! I'm SO happy for you...and yes a little jealous, but it's ALL good -because in a year from now (or sooner) I'm gonna be posting my own pics!! Thanks for inspiring us! Do you hear that?? It's our applause!!…
  • I want to lose 124 lbs (maybe more) and I have to say-seeing your pics and reading your story has made me see that I can do it!! You look WONDERFUL! I am so happy for you and your accomplishments. Do you still need insulin? Have your other health problems gotten better? You are an inspiration!!! You are amazing AND…
  • Yes, we can totally see it! You are much more defined and definitely look great!!! Don't put much stock into what others think or say (except your hubby), if you feel good and can see a difference...that's all that matters! Good job and keep up the good work! I'm proud of you...and a little jealous
  • WAY TO TAKE CHARGE OF YOUR LIFE!! AND YOUR HEALTH! I am so very happy for you! Keep doing what you're doing cuz it's working!!
  • Brent, I felt the same way you did...at first. I've lost 26 lbs and NO ONE HAS NOTICED. I didn't tell any friends or family that I was changing my lifestyle. That always seemed to backfire when I shouted it from the roof tops. So I just started doing it on my own (of course my husband knew because he had to starting eating…
