  • I need to get back on track with my C25K- I had some issues last week with some flare ups and the heat/humidity here in Ohio- I wasn't feeling good at all. Now that my girls are home, my house is perfect- (well, at least until the girls start playing with all their stuff again! LOL!!) I think I can get back to my routine!…
  • If you chew sugar free gum- you have consumed Aspartame. It is in just about everything sugar free- i have to read the labels of anything low cal-sugar free because I am alergic to it. In gum it doesn't bother me too much since its such a low amount, but if I chew too many pieces, I get horrible headaches. Sucralose…
  • Awesome! My mom was on the prednisone for other issues- she still has tons of health issues, but really tries to do as much as she can. She is a huge help to me with my girls since I am a single mom.....
  • Still haven't tried them!!! :grumble: didn't have time yesterday morning- my girls just flew home from their dad's (gone for 6 weeks) yesterday and their luggage didn't arrive with them....it arrived WITH A PHONE CALL at 2:45 AM today!! :grumble: Glad its here, but come on......sooooooo after a long day yesterday and an…
  • try drinking more than a small glass- I usually drink at least 8-16 oz from the minute I wake up till I leave. Then I drink immediately after and some more on the way home. I also drink about 4 oz of skim milk afterwards too.
  • Prednisone is a wicked drug! My mom was on HIGH doses of it for a long time and is now a diabetic from it. She is finally off of the drug, but the effects have been long lasting. I hope they find a way for you to be off of it.....
  • Hi! I am Cheryl....I was diagnosed with Fibro in 2001 after my first daughter was born. Looking back I am SURE I have had it a LOT longer than that, but Fibro wasn't "accepted" back then.....Sadly, I am thinking my youngest DD has it...she is 9 and exhibits a LOT of the same symptoms I had back then as a child. :-( I…
  • Someone else suggested that- skipping D3 and going back to it after W6 D1 and D2......Not sure how I feel about it. Didn't get up and go this morning- too hot at 5AM already and wasn't feeling very good Supposed to cool down Sunday and get back to nice 60's in the AM by Monday- I'll go then.....I'm a whimp....
  • AWESOME!!!
  • No run for me today.....woke up feeling yucky and it was already almost 80 at 5am....my indoor track is not air conditioned, so I opted not to go. I did take back my Asics and was "re-fitted" by the manager. He had me try back on the Saucony's and watched me run in them.....he said I was landing mid-foot and was pleased…
  • I-O.... Cleveland girl here....
  • You still did awesome! Way to go to even go to the race in those conditions.....Ohio can really be brutal with the humidity in the Summer!! You did great!!
  • what about taking him in the stroller? That could be an option....you may not get to go as fast, but at least you would still be working the program. Also, do you have a local Y or rec center that has an indoor track? Maybe they have child care while you work out.....
  • LOL!!! ^^this^^ The only thing you need to tell him is that she enjoys doing this with you- its not forced- her idea.....you are setting a great example by making it a priority!!
  • Would love to be your shape!! I am 5'3'', 168 and still in a size 14-16!!!!
  • I have taken 4 days off before and been fine. I would just push ahead to W3. If you completed W2- go forward. You can always repeat a day in W3 if you need to. Be careful about doing 2 days in a row as well- It can catch up with you!! Hope you are doing okay!!
  • I've looked- but nothing has caught my eye as of yet....I am going to wait for the GOTR one- already told the girls I would do it with them. And I really want to do the Color Run with my friends next year. That looks like a TOTAL blast. It was in June this year, so there was NO way I would have been ready for it! I was on…
  • I refuse to sign up for a 5k until I am done! In case something happens, I have some kind of a set back or something. (I think part of that is still my ex whispering in my ear- you will never succeed at anything!!) My girls want to start Girls on the Run- a self-esteem/anti-bullying/running program for girls. They do a 5K…
  • I don't want to do 2 days in a row. I have been going to the rec MWF and taking Sat and Sun off. But, the rec is closed this Wednesday....I am having dinner with a friend Tuesday night (going to Little Italy for REAL Italian- YUMMY!) and don't want to have to wake up early Wednesday morning! I have the day off and I want…

  • You will love it!
  • depends on what you want it to do....I have a Polar FT4. It basically tracks my time and my calories burned. It gives me my HR during the exercise and tells me if I am in the "zone" or not. They can get really fancy or very simple.
  • add a block of cream cheese, a jar of salsa and serve over rice or in tortillas....very yummy!
