I like what the earlier poster said about not having realized how much room for improvement there was. I have always been a high-energy person, so it astounded me when (after I had lost some weight) how much more energy I had. My friends have noticed that I walk much faster, I almost never get sleepy after lunch, and I no…

That is HUGE! Congrats!

I second the posters who said mixed grip and gloves!

That's exactly what I'm hoping to achieve -- congratulations!!!

I aim for 1800-2000 calories a day and am currently deadlifting 70 kg (154.3 lbs). I've lost 63 lbs this way, so I'm not about to start starving myself. Feel free to add me! I also second the recommendation for the group Eat Train Progress.

My nutritionist recommended it. I stayed because it worked!

Add me to the list of people saying congrats, you look awesome!

I travel (both for work and for fun) all the time. You've already gotten some great suggestions. In addition, I suggest bringing lots of healthy snacks with you: pre-portioned servings of nuts and dried fruit, high protein/fiber bars, portable fruit like tangerines which don't require refrigeration or silverware, tuna…

Wow, you are making phenomenal progress! Congrats! I didn't actually set specific goals like you did at the beginning of 2013, but I did make that the time when I changed my entire lifestyle. I joined a gym, hired a trainer, started logging everything I ate and drank, took up shadowboxing, stopped watching so much TV, and…

Normally hate photos of myself, so don't let anyone take pics of me. Was on a day trip with friends and they took this one without my realizing it. When they showed it to me later, I loved it. Felt slightly embarrassed, though, that it is actually a picture of me sitting at a restaurant about to order a meal!

WOW, congratulations! Killer transformation!
-
congratulations, you look FANTASTIC!

Phenomenal work! You look fantastic! Congratulations!
-
wow, you're right, that looks like a lot more than 23 lbs! congrats!

I travel a lot (both business and pleasure) and absolutely agree that it can be done -- I always log, even if it has to be on paper because the hotel has no wifi (I then type it in later). I have a few travel workouts that I do while on the road (I travel with resistance bands), I use an insulated cooler bag filled with…

Probably around 2800-3000 on regular days and much more on special occasions (and believe me, I considered far too many events "special occasions"). I remember in the beginning when I started trying to cut back how proud I was to get a meal down to 700 calories (from 1000), only to have my nutritionist tell me that it…

You look amazing in that Warrior Dash photo -- such an inspiration! Congratulations and thanks for taking the time to share with us!

Thanks! 190 lbs is actually within reach -- I'll give it a try when I get there and see how it feels. I was wondering about the feet losing weight thing -- a couple times recently, one of my shoes has come off while I'm walking, as if they were too big, which didn't make sense to me...unless my feet have indeed lost…

You do not even look like the same person! HUGE congrats!
-
That's fantastic news, congrats! Even more impressive is your total amount of weight lost. Hats off!
-
Congratulations on everything you have accomplished so far! That's amazing! Tagging because I want to be able to follow the responses -- I'm not there yet, but have been wondering how/when to know whether to stop. Best of luck for continued success!

This has helped me a LOT -- made me much more aware of how much I'm drinking and what it "costs:" http://caloriccuvee.com/

Tagging so that I can find all of this awesome information easily again in the future -- thanks to everyone who contributed!

"You're finally thin enough for me to set you up with my guy friends!" :explode:

Anything containing Omega 3s...salmon, walnuts, etc.

As someone who lives in the Arctic, I suggest the gloves that have the touch pad fingers on them -- that way you can keep your fingers warm while using touch-screen technology. People here tend to go more for underneath layers (like long/thermal underwear) than heavy coats/jackets which could make it hard to run. Proper…

I move often and have lived in multiple countries -- unfortunately not Mexico. I did, however, find this for you (be sure to read the comment section): http://www.cheeseslave.com/reader-question-how-to-eat-healthy-in-modern-day-mexico/

Scandinavia -- would love to have some more MFP pals in the same time zone as me!

Prices vary wildly depending on where you live. Hiring a trainer was the best decision I ever made health-wise, but I also made sure to ask lots of questions and get one who had a proven track record in helping people with similar goals to mine. I particularly love having the trainer when it comes to checking my form and…

I used to hate detest loathe broccoli until a friend showed me how to lightly steam it and then sprinkled some lemon pepper on top. Now I can eat a whole head in one sitting. I wouldn't worry about not liking iceberg lettuce -- very little nutritional value in that. Using raw baby spinach instead of lettuce packs much more…
