  • Have you ever been checked for Insulin Resistance? I recently found out I am insulin resistant, it makes it extremely difficult to lose weight (I am an avid runner and was a vegetarian), once I got on a regimen to deal with this situation the weight has started coming off again. Just a thought.
  • From what I have gathered trail running burns approximately 10% more calories than road running (unless you are running some insane mountain trails with a killer/extreme incline).
  • my max calories are 1200/day as well. My suggestion is to get aquainted with Lisa Lillian (AKA Hungry Girl), she has several cookbooks and a great website (and daily email) with 1000s of low cal recipes that combine convenience with fresh foods. It's a nice balance. I prefer to stay closer to the whole foods end of the…
  • I have big calves. I realize skinny jeans are very in style right now, but they are not a look for everyone... particularly those with big calves. My suggestion would be to not wear them and find a style the flatters and fits you (comfortably).

  • ShockAbsorber is the way to go. I'm a runner and wear a 36G and that is the best bra I've ever had. It's not pretty, but who really cares what it looks like when you are working out? Well worth the $, in my opinion.
  • I started running in Sept 2010 with the C25K program. Since then I've completed my first half marathon and run numerous races. I currently work with a running coach and this is what we do to increase speed. 1. In order to run faster... you have to run faster. I wanted to slap her the first time she said that to me. What…
