You can do this! I am in the process of losing what I had gained back. 11 years ago I had a RNY and lost 114 pounds and put back on 27 pounds. It has been the hardest thing I have ever done to get this weight off! MFP has been perfect for me counting the calories and logging the exercise not to mention the support from…

My family and I are in great need of your prayers. Please pray for God's direction and that we can hear his voice in this time of transition. I also ask that you lift my mother up in prayer. She is going through some health issues that the doctors haven't yet diagnosed.

Thanks! I had no idea! LOL:blushing:

I eat sugar free jello with fat free cool whip. My recreational eating tends to be at night so I plan for it and I always put in the calories for my pm snack early in the day so I have the calories for it. Maybe I should tough it our since it IS emotional and recreational eating but this is what I do.

There is a forum here on MFP that is called Gastric Bypass - Regain and it has helped me so much. Feel free to add me.

I'll keep you lifted in prayer. :flowerforyou:

I know it's hard but I wouldn't worry too much about the seasoning- it they want it to taste good they'll come. If not, they get what they get at meal time. Don't stress about it. If it tastes gross then they'll come running to taste tomorrow night when you ask. I know it's hard in the early days of surgery but things will…

Hi! I'm glad you found this group it's been very helpful to me. I had my RNY over 11 years ago and lost 124 pounds and about 6 years ago I put back on around 30 pounds. I have tried to lose it but I kept getting SO hungry every two hours. I would work out and I would lose a pound here and a pound there but no real success.…

Very important question is to ask about revisions. Sometimes things don't go as planed and you may need a revision-ask if it's covered by him/her or if you'll have to pay. I had three revisions on my breast reduction and it took two surgeons. The last surgeon had to do thee revisions to fix my boobs after the first one. I…

So happy you're all done and on the mend. :flowerforyou: After all these years (11) I still have no regrets getting my RNY. I still get kinda misty about it.

So happy you're home and doing well.

I'm so happy to find this forum! It's a true blessing to be in touch with people that love the Lord! I am a stay at home mom with three boys ages 21, 16, and 15. Two have special needs. Right now we live overseas while my husband serves as a chaplain for the military. We love living here with all of the travel…

Just had some surgery this past year. I got a "breast reduction" call it that and insurance doors open- that is if you qualify. There is a criteria. Rash under boobs, back pain, bra straps digging into your shoulders and a few more that I didn't have. I lost 15 inches in my boobs and it was like my bra was full of swimming…

I don't know how it's done now but 11 years ago I had to use a strainer for the first two weeks to make sure liquid had no lumps in it. Total pain but a small price to pay. And, there was no liver shrinking diet either.

I'm so glad you found this forum. I had my RNY 11 years ago and lost 124 pounds. Over the years I did gain back 20 pounds and am on my way to getting those pounds off, I have to lose 8 more to get to get back to my weight. Having the surgery was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I wish you well with your surgery.…

I use it as a mid morning snack to help keep the hunger away until lunch. I use it with a cup of milk and decafe coffee and ice. I have no idea on the negative side of it - it gives 15 grams of protein plus the milk that I use. I'm curious about the negative side as well. I've been using it for almost three weeks now and…

I go to the gym about 4-5 days a week and if I just can't fit in into my schedule I do an hour fast paced walk. I try to get 6 days in one way or the other. Today I did the least amount than I have in weeks- I walked and hour and a half at the flee market. I don't feel too good about that being my only calorie burn so I'll…

Just start following your diet now and do the best you can. That's all you can do. Have you lost any weight as of yet? Maybe they will see the effort and still give you the surgery.

I don't eat up my exercise calories- I just ignore that number and do the math. I guess if there's another way let me know.

The long awaited day is here! This is so exciting! :flowerforyou:

I'm sorry that you're having a tough time. All of us here in the group are here because we have regained part or all of the weight back so you're not alone. My suggestion is to go and see your nutritionist and see what you need to do to start losing weight again. My problem is that I LOVE carbs!!! They are so yummy and…

I'm not a newbie but one thing that we have in common is the slow weight loss. I was so disappointed when I went to my one month support group meeting and I had only lost 8 pounds in four weeks. Every one else there who had their surgeries the same time as I did had lost 20 pounds or more. But it did come off within a year…
