I am 5'7" and my "official" goal is 160 lbs but I have been overweight all my life and let me tell you, I would be thrilled to live my life at 180lbs. We'll see once I get there!:wink:

I find that while trying to lose weight I eliminate alcohol for best results, but you still gotta live your live your life and be happy right?! I would try to fit an extra 10-15min walk into that day and allow yourself one drink. And make sure that you enjoy that drink!! ;)

How about a Fibre One Bar (140 cals) and a cup of raspberries (75 cals) and maybe a small piece of cheese for protein? You can easily eat it on the way to work. If you can curb your "habit" maybe you will feel & save some cash too! Maybe a fancy coffee once a week for a treat? :happy:

I think that you should do what works best for you. I have heard that eating 6 small meals a day is helpful in losing weight. You can re-name your meals/snacks by visiting the settings area of MFP. I changed mine to suit my lifestyle. Hope this helps + welcome to the site!:flowerforyou:

I am turning 40 on Jan 27,2011 and want to feel better for myself. I am trying to lose 20lbs before then but still will have another 30-40lbs after that. I have 3 girls and work full time. I know exactly how you feel! MFP has helped me so much! Stay Strong, You CAN do it!!! :happy:

You want to lose weight for yourself, so just go ahead and do it! Once he sees you dropping those pounds, he will likely follow your lead! Stay strong and just politely decline any tempting foods and stay on track! You can do it! MFP will help you get there! :happy:
