This just made me cry at work..... they are tears of joy, of hope!  I had a bulging disc since 2002 and suffered chronic back pain. I have been down a rough road as well (not as rough as yours though) disc decompression, car accident(s), now I am facing some sort of auto immune disease. I’m scared out my mind…

I originally quit in 2005 off the patch. I turned in to a closet smoker maybe 5 times a yr, it picked up with I got stressed (wedding planning). I hid it from my DH for yrs (hence the word closet smoker). In 2008 when the market crashed, I sold my house and was trying to buy another while living in family’s house with my…

I was thinking this same thing. I am no where as close as you are in attempting this. I just had my surgery in 2011, then a car accident. So I am slowly trying to get my weight under, strength train my arms, legs, then core. Then maybe in 1-2yrs I might try this depending on where I feel my body is. I have had crappy luck…

We were not thrilled about the "smart" features (hence the throwing of the remote lol). Other then the Tv having a button for Netflix we rarely even used any of the other "Smart" features. Maybe, YouTube. Sorry Ive been in a cave for the last 3yrs..... Roku is like Netflix right? You have to pay monthly for it? I was…

What you said was beautiful! I too are a part of a financial board that discusses this kind of topic every day. Dave Ramsey has a radio show that’s very funny and full of good advice. You can listen to it live or past shows on his web site Daveramsey.com. I know the local library has a copy but its always checked out. Well…

No it’s quite the opposite, mostly “rich” people budget. Rich people as you call them have the things they have because they planned ahead and budgeted things. It’s the people that don’t have money who do things on a whim that are broke. That $150 pair of shoes could have been planned back in June by putting away $37.50 a…

Just going off the first few comments you made above…. #1) I suggest get on a written budget asap. #2) I suggest starting a sinking fund for clothes. You are going to need them so start putting money aside for them in advance. Normally its $100-$200 per person per yr for people that are in debt (anything you owe that’s not…
