  • Half a plain bagel (switching to ww) with peanut butter. Sipping the last of my seconf cup of coffee, my infused water, and thinking about a banana or orange. Might try my hand at overnight oatmeal, sounds so good. Do you heat it in the mike in yhe morning? Can't imagine eating it cold.
  • History 101: India is part of Asia, the continent.
  • I find this website doesn't look at all the facts. First, I was expecting they would take height into their calculation. I am 5'0", and consider myself an apple shape. However, the website told me I had a curvy figure. My hips are narrow, but I have the additional inches in my kaboose, and I am small busted, but I have a…
  • I do when creating a recipe in MFP, and prepackaged stuff like taco seasoning, and condiments - lots of salt in them. Never new about cumin being so high in iron!
  • Hilarious - where did you get such a cool toy?
  • tiggsnanny - It's basically egg whites in a carton - 250 or 500 ml size. Hope that helps!
  • tiggsnanny, I use Naturegg. Even with just some cheddar cheese it's awesome, stuffed in an unbuttered English muffin. Add some melon slices or berries on the side, and it's a great breakfast.
  • I'm 5'0", with a small frame - narrow hips, apple shape. I did weight watchers years ago, went from 138 to 110. That took about 6 months, and I have been above and below 110 ever since. I got back recently onto MFP at 119, now at 117, working down to about 113, healthier than 110. Just so my nice clothes can fit better. I…
  • Last night: Broccoli Turkey Casserole - http://www.tasteofhome.com/Recipes/Broccoli-Turkey-Casserole Tonight: Rachael Ray's Buffalo Chicken Chili - http://www.rachaelrayshow.com/food/recipes/buffalo-chicken-chili This weekend: Loaded Potato and Buffalo Chicken Casserile -…
  • Coffee maker, and those glass snap-lock containers, to put all the left-overs into, when I make double batches, so I have something quick and easy for dinner - just reheat.
  • I enjoy handing out candy, love seeing the cute costumes. I just spent $30 on candy, and when it's gone, it's gone! Lights out. Not because I don't want to participate, but lights out because I've run out of candy, so don't punish me with eggs and toilet paper. We hand out candy, starting with the first TOTers, whenever…
  • This is the best! These are the moments we need to write down, so we can take time on a bad day and read about these moments. It puts you in a different perspective. I hope I never stop hugging my babies, and never stop getting hugs and "Love you"'s from them.
  • I always lose from the top down. So first I notice a change in my face, then neck, then chest, and so on. Do your tops feel or look loose? Also, if you are fairly tall, you probably carry your weight well. I am 5'0", so 5 pounds lost is noticable. You may have lost 35 pounds, but only seems like a little from everywhere.…
  • I occasionally fall off. LIke this past weekend, my 15-year old daugher's birthday party, so lots of junk food for the 9 girls (and us). Chinese food galore Friday, and ice cream cake, then left-over Chinese Saturday, then yesterday out for dinner on her actual birthday, more cake. This doesn't happen every weekend though.…
  • mabelbabel1, how do the raw oats work out? Are they quite chewy? I wonder if I mix them with yogurt the night before, and refrigerate until morning, would that soften them up?
  • If you're talking about MFP carb/fat/protein recommended levels for your body, based on the data you entered, please remember that MFP goes high on carbs, and low on fat and protein. For example, my recommended numbers, for maintenance (I'm 5'0"), work out to 66% carbs, 16% fat and 18% protein. I'm not sure I would be able…
  • (OT) The Krave TV commercials are absolutely hilarious! Haven't seen them in Canadian stores yet though. Seriously though, I do have my H-N Cheerios every morning (measured) and skim milk (measured), and it keeps me going until mid-morning snack, which is usually fruit or Oikos yogurt, or a protein bar.
  • Marinating in plain yogurt or buttermilk actually is supposed to make it quite tender. Yum!
  • If you use lean ground chicken once in a while, try Rachael Ray's Buffalo Chicken Chili. I think it's in the MFP database. Makes a lot (more like 8 servings versus 4 as per recipe) and is really yummy. You can completely skip the corn chips if you prefer. http://www.rachaelrayshow.com/food/recipes/buffalo-chicken-chili/
  • I have been meaning to try this one, Hummus-Crusted Chicken: http://www.martawrites.com/2012/02/hummus-chicken-your-kitchen-will-smell.html Haven't tried it yet, but I think the hummus crust would retain the juices fairly well. I like any chicken breast recipes that help retain the moisture in the meat.
  • :drinker:
  • My motivation is my Mom, may she rest in peace. She was always such a strong woman, who grew up in rural Slovenia, everyone had to work hard all the time. When she was in her teens, one of her many jobs was to go down to the river and beat the clothes on the rocks, with cold, icy water. She worked so hard on the farm, such…
  • Hi wiijogger, Congratulations on giving up smoking!! Way to go! :flowerforyou: Based on your information that you posted, your BMI is 23.6, within the normal range. And your BMR is 1352.8 Your BMR is your base metabollic rate, which is the amount of calories that you would use up in a day if you were sedentary for the…
  • Yes, and Yes! Definitely not worth going backwards. Keep positive thoughts of where you've been, how you got there, and how much work it has taken to get where you are now. Agree with Halloween candy out already being very early. Whatever I bring to work is AFTER Halloween, i.e. the leftovers, if there are any. I don't…
  • And live in the other "one" country in the workd where football is soccer.
  • I am 5'0", short-waisted, so my legs are proportionally long. I've done 4.0 at a fast walk. I don't think I could walk at a much faster rate than that. I have maintained the 4.0 at most for 30 minutes, then I have to slow it down to 3.8 or 3.6.
  • Great photos, amazing transformation. Congratulations! You are an inspiration..
  • Like most of the other posters, I will definitely use it in the long-term, just to keep myself accountable. MFP is so easy to log, so much easier than the "best diet tool every - WW". All the personal recipes you can input, along with the best source for all kinds of foods, and recipes from just about every restaurant out…
  • There are a lot of good suggestions, definitely see a psychiatrist though. Even if you have to wait. My daughter has Bipolar Disorder, the rapid cycling kind, with generalized anxiety. Some people's cycles are only as few as one or two a year, where her cycles were every 2-3 weeks. This played havock with her classes, she…
  • I'm currently hooked on Bath and Body Works' Paris Amour. I'm kind of ticked that the bottle sizes are skewed the wrong way: larger bath gel bottle than body lotion bottle. Why, do you do this, B&BW? I'd like to have both bottles empty at the same time so I can start the next fragrance appropriate for Fall/Winter, but I…
