That's hilarious! Yey, exciting news! I'm smiling today because it's 'hump' day and the sun is shining....and what's not to smile about?
-
Agree with all the others - your body is craving food. If you're scared to up the calories (I understand what that's like), do it gradually 100 calories a week or something that you feel comfortable with.

Today my motivation is to get through the day without succumbing to the cake in the kitchen at work! Being offered things is normally a massive stumbling block for me, so I want to say I made it, if at least just for today!

@mom3over40 I think that's fine to plan to do the 5k a week before the half, although listen to your body in the run-up. Any twinges or issues then don't go looking for a PB. @kareF nothing like new trainers! I'm getting some for Christmas and cannot wait! @c1ownfishie is LA your first marathon or have you run it before?

Hi everyone, I'm back after a bit of a break. I'm in for 65 miles.

New trainers!

LA Fitness was a bit useless towards the end with a lot of equipment broken etc. Definitely going to give PureGym a go. I'l report back with my verdict when it's open B)
-
Just for today I am not going to eat any crisps of any description!
-
Loads of equipment and you don't get people wasting time either. Everyone's there to get on with it.
-
I really need to get back to the mindfulness thing. I just stopped doing it a while back and regret it.
-
Yup. I had amazing abs a while back, sadly they were covered in a layer of fat so no-one could see them! :'( You need really low body fat for a six pack, I don't know if this is something that can be achieved by a quick fix.
-
@courtcassiefit Arh brlliant, that gives me some confidence as I hadn't really heard of them before. So glad that you like the classes, hoping to be able to fit some into my training schedule. Doesn't open 'til Feb but I keep checking the website in the hope that they're got the schedule up :#

@HappyCampr1 How nice of those friends to be so supportive of you! :o I'm always suspicious about people's motives for posting snide comments - I think it says more about them than you. OK, so posting only about weight loss, gym performance etc can be boring for other people, but so can endless pictures of dogs or babies…

Self control - my default mode is binge! Social situations are tough for me too. Most of my friends are foodies and enjoy a tipple. I find that as I'm generally drinking less, my alcohol tolerance is pretty pitiful and even if i don't go overboard I feel wiped the next day and tend to overeat or make bad food choices to…

@diyadiamonds I also go to Easygym on Oxford Circus! What's the verdict on Puregym? I'm a member of LA Fitness but my gym's closed at the moment for refurb following a buy-out by Puregym. I am not happy they're getting rid of the pool - pools in London are ridiculously limited.
-
Why not? There's nothing wrong with celebrating your achievements! Maybe take some care about how you phrase your post, but your friends should feel happy for you and proud of you for what you've accomplished - and who knows, your before and after pictures might even be inspiration for someone else. I'm sure your friend…

Me tooooo!

Yesterday: surviving a flat pack assembly project Today: aching muscles from the massive clear-out of the flat I did over the weekend :)

I'm in! After a coasting kind of October and a disastrous November, I really need to commit!
-
Spot on. I juice veggies I don't like much or eat often (kale!) to complement my diet.

I reminded myself of this as I forced my lazy butt to the gym. Feeling fab now - never regret a workout!
-
What a cutie! Who couldn't smile with him around!
-
Reluctantly went out to the gym scowling, came back smiling: exercise!
-
Don't you hate days like that? My motivation for today came in the form of my BFF randomly sending me a photo of me from years ago and me lamenting 'what the hell happened?' :'(
-
Getting to the gym today B)
-
To get back on track after a bad weekend. I was too scared to step on the scales this morning, so I want to see at least last week's weight show up on Wednesday.
-
Today my motivation is getting through Friday and getting to the weekend!
