I'm about to go for a lunchtime wander to find some motivation in all the lovely clothes that are out there that I'd currently look awful in.

Thinking about seeing one of my besties tomorrow after a tough couple of weeks.

Hey everyone, just found this thread....love it! My motivation for today is seeing my pale, lifeless face staring back at me in the mirror. Time to ditch the salt and sugar and up the veggies.

Hi! Sometimes you need to get to your lowest ebb to be able to change, you're in a good place for help and support. Feel free to add me.

That pretty much sums up my warped relationship with food!
-
Feeling the same today. Monday - yuk :'( I guess I'm happy my shoulder isn't as bad as it has been. That's something to be happy about, right? Oh and also, I get to go home in an hour's time...but that's about it.

Love this thread...particularly because the last few weeks have been like this for me and I could really do with a kick up the bum right now. I had sticky toffee pudding for dessert yesterday, apple crumble on Saturday and Jam Rolly Polly on Friday and generally ditched counting the cals. My excuse? Work has been awful and…

Hi there, I'm 34. @garageselecta, totally understand what you mean - unhealthy food is so much cheaper than the healthy stuff. Dont feel guilty for looking after yourself though, think of it as an investment in your children. You are their role model, so by eating healthily, you're setting them a great example so they…

It's Friday! :D

Reading your comments, I completely understand/recognise/sympathise so many of the things you list. I think I jinxed myself by saying I was in a good place the other day! Been feeling really fed up the last couple of days and have just binged on everything I want to make myself feel 'better'. Didn't even bother trying to…

knowing I've only got 2 hours before I can go home!

Social pressure is always difficult. Well done for not letting them derail you from what you're doing. What does it matter to them if you drink or not? I seriously question the motives of people who try and sabotage other people's efforts to achieve their goals. Most of the time, I think that it stems from resentment of…

Halloween fun with the bestie Saturday night, followed by a lazy Sunday with the bf

Spicy pumpkin soup: boil with some chicken stock chopped onion, add a tea spoon of curry powder and blend.

ha ha ha that made me cackle >:)

Struggling to smile today. Tired, hungry and want to binge - although I'm not letting myself. Work sucks and I haven't had time to the gym (because of work). But, I'm seeing my BFF tonight and I know for sure that that will make me smile.

Hi everyone, I have 16 lbs to lose, no particular time-frame in mind, but would be happy with 8lb loss by the end of the month.

Normally a cup of tea or some water. It's tough though, eating out of boredom is something I really struggle with. Sometimes I have a full blown argument with myself in my head ha ha. I find posting about it helps get it into perspective too. The embarrassment of admitting that I'm throwing a massive strop at myself…

Great idea. I've also struggled with binge eating on and off for many years. At the moment, I feel like I'm in a good place but that can change so quickly! At the moment I'm going with the philosophy of not depriving myself and not starving myself. I've upped my calories from 1200 to 1600 per day. If I'm hungry, it can…

@StayTheCourse1982 just as well there's another one coming up then! One day at a time x

@verptwerp I'm stealing that picture! Buying a new dress for a Halloween party on Saturday made me smile :D

Morning all, Happy Monday! Well done everyone, we've got through another week :) @Jessalane0607 well done on reaching your goal, that's fabulous! @LuckyAndi I know what you feel about lack of motivation. I skipped out of a run on Saturday because I just couldn't get myself motivated. I normally find the mental battle far…

@lporter229 You're right, if I can't enjoy taking things a bit slower now, when can I? The temptation is to push through because I'm feeling impatient but the fear of injury and breaking myself is far too great. @gdyment lead-legged is exactly how I've felt on my last couple of runs!
-
Thanks for the replies, I guess it just takes some time! So relieved to have skipped the sickness part. I kept convinicing myself for a few days after I was getting a cold but nothing materialised.
-
Making the effort to get up early and go to my yoga class (the yoga, not the getting up bit!). Also the ridiculous number of clicks from my back during practice (I have scoliosis) and the fact I'm not feeling stiff any more! Have a great day :)

This really resonated with me. The best thing about this forum is that you're not alone. No matter what the problem, there is normally someone who has experienced the same thing, has the same struggles and can either sympathise or advise. Keep coming here, keep logging, keep posting. I totally agree with the post by…
