Had a migraine (and after effects) last weekend so didn't manage to get in any running until yesterday :'( Short treadmill session yesterday but feeling 100% now and looking forward to a longer run tomorrow!

Happy Friday everyone! Just logged yesterday's 'run' through the overflowing streets of London on tube strike day. Don't know if I'll be doing that again - not the most enjoyable experience! It was more of a run, doge, jog, walk, run again for the first 6 miles or so. Still, 12.3 miles done to make up for my late start…

I'm putting myself down for 120 miles this month o:) There's me merrily sitting on 0 ha ha.

@JustChristy79 Love your attitude. And no, people quite often don't want to know about anything that consists of hard work, I suppose we'd all like a magic pill that solved all our weight/health issues without having to change our lifestyle, but there's something satisfying in the hard work route.
-
@dennie24 that's great progress. Don't push yourself too soon, you will get there! Got 4.8 miles in this morning before work.
-
My ticker isn't playing ball this morning so it will have to be a manual update! Ran 16.6 miles yesterday, bringing my total up to 82.81(which is 2.81 miles over my target whoop whoop!) Going to extend my target to 95 miles....

That's very true. There are people who treat fat like it's evil too and try to wipe that out.

Hills on the treadmill this morning.

Fab thanks, will definitely try some salt in some water (I might buy some to keep in my drawer at work) and also watch my salt intake generally to make sure I'm getting enough. Funny, a while back, all you ever heard was how terrible salt was for you, but not getting enough is pretty dreadful too!

I don't think this product negates the calories in calories out approach, it's designed to help people stick to their calories by making them feel fuller and therefore not over eating. It hasn't been claimed that this product actually makes you lose weight (unlike many other products). Whether it actually works or not is…

@JimCrackinDandy ha ha that Gollum post pretty much sums up my attitude to running! Why is it such a struggle to get out of the door sometimes? Ditched the gym last night as it was such a nice, sunny evening and did a lovely 10k in the park. I may actually be in danger of reaching my goal mileage this month :o
-
@JimCrackinDandy, @shanaber, @_nikkiwolf_ , @7lenny7 - thanks for the encouragement guys :) @karllundy, thank you too and sure you'll get there! @5BeautifulDays welcome! HM will certainly keep you motivated - enjoy your training.
-
Ran the farthest I've ever gone today - 15.44 miles :) now exhauseted but a little bit proud of myself!
-
A bad 5k on the treadmill last night and a much better 10k this morning running hills...waiting for the pain to kick in :D
-
Arh getting behind on my logging! 13.2 miles yesterday and the ticker is updating properly now I'm at a PC.
-
Awful run today. It was really hot and humid and I just didn't feel right :'( My ticker is playing up on my phone, but think this takes me up to 18 out of 80.
-
@skippysmom Ouch, poor you! You're my hero for getting back to it though. @Dhathri, you're in the right place to rekindle your passion for running! There's a tube strike in London tonight and tomorrow that has completely mucked up my schedule for this week :-1: Will need to leave at the crack of dawn tomorrow to make it…
-
@Runningmischka Congrats - what a cutie! @jayme03 @seomra Fab that you're both getting back out there! I'm putting myself down for 80 miles again this month.
-
Intervals outside this morning (ouch). Last run of the month, didn't quite make my target, but not a million miles off :) @tdbernrd Injuries suck but sometimes you just have to look after yourself and recover - hope the physio helps @autumnblade75 I have suffered from hip, knee and shin pain in the past and discovered (by…

Morning and happy Sunday everyone! 6th slow run this morning. Humid, grey day today - I want the sun back!

Forgot to update Saturday's run: 10.5 miles, humid conditions :s

Hit the treadmill at lunchtime today after spending half the morning finding reasons not to go. Fortunately, they didn't get past by BS firewall, but it was a close call ha ha. feeling great for it now B)

Day one of marathon training (my first if I manage to pull it off!) - 20 mins of easy running.

I think everyone is different, but personally I find exercise has very little effect on my weight loss, but a big impact on my outlook and motivation. I've run a few half marathons before and the only time I could add 200-300 calories more to my diet was on my Sunday long run, and I mean running 11 or 12 miles (and most of…

What @quiksylver296 said, story of my life! It's hard to keep it off; drug abusers can stay away from situations where they come into contact with drugs, but everyone needs to eat! It always seems so unfair how long it takes to lose the weight and build the fitness compared to how quickly you can put on the weight and lose…

Sounds just like me! Completing a weekend without blowing all the hard work I put in throughout the week feels like winning the lottery for me! Lots of great suggestions already, I try to stay busy to distract myself from thinking about food. I've also started giving myself a couple of hundred extra calories, so I can…
