You may need to see a Dr. but I think you are just overwhelmed with the responsibilities of the baby, getting married, etc. Don't worry so much about the "baby fat" but celebrate that you have a healthy child you want to be there for. Take little steps. There is nothing wrong about lounging all day in sweats. If you are…

I make egg drop soup with lots of celery, onion, and mushrooms in addition to the egg. Start off with 2 cups of water. Sometimes I add an ounce or 2 of chicken. Another is pasta shrimp veggies with garlic sauce. The biggest and most important is that I weigh all the ingredients so I can log it. Keeps me on track. My…

Weigh and log everything you eat and stay under daily calorie goal. That simple!

You have lost 13 lbs in 50 days! CELEBRATE THE VICTORY!!!!!!!!!! Now,weigh yourself less but keep doing what you are doing because it obviously is working. Weight loss is not linear!
-
It really doesn't matter as long as you are consistent. I use midnight as the cutoff. When I was working shift work I would prelog everything that went into the lunch box. That way I knew how many calories I would have left for supper.

I did a few years back but found the points systems were too complicated as they kept changing. I find more success here with CICO as long as I log faithfully.

At your new destination, visit the market to get items you can prep on the fly. Frozen veggies, maybe some of the healthier frozen entrees, fresh fruit, sandwiches etc. You can do this. Do you have an in room fridge? If not, it will be nightly trips to the market or purchase an inexpensive cooler and stock with ice to keep…

You are going to have to have "the talk" with him. Tell him you will not eat the fast food, ice cream, chips, candy, etc unless the caloric count fits into your plan for the day. Otherwise it will need to go into a special cabinet or the fridge and of course he is welcome to eat it. As for meals, buy what you want to eat…

Weighing your food in grams is the most accurate measure. Since you don't want to purchase a scale, can you find a friend with a scale and do an experiment? Take 2 1 cup measures and fill them as you normally would and weigh. The weights will be drastically different. Take 5 apples from the bag and weigh them, Weights will…

I know it is rare, but I lost a friend who died on the table. Another friend had complications and almost died following surgery. GB was also suggested to me, but when I asked about success rate the DR admitted it was not good as a permanent solution. I have seen many go back to previous way of eating and gain the weight…

Change your goals. Forget the bathroom scale but gravitate to and use your food scale. Your new goal is to stay within calorie limits each day and get about 30 mins of exercise. They weight will come off, not overnight of course but you will be pleasantly surprise how changing your goal to not be the weight loss, helps…

Who pays for the junk food? If it is you, I suggest you start putting that money into a savings account for college. (the prom comment leads me to believe you will need college funds soon) Find the current cost per credit and use that as a savings goal. No one is making you eat the junk food. you need to develop self…

I don't have cheat meals or cheat days. To me that connotes something bad and there is nothing bad about a healthy lifestyle change. I do however, have days where I choose to eat a little more, go to a Chinese buffet or other restaurant. I try not to eat out more than once a week. I like to plan and not eat the full meal,…

There should be no hunger pangs. My lunch typically is a large salad that keeps me full a long while. 1-2 cups lettuce (I like iceberg), 1/2 cucumber diced with skin, 1 apple diced with skin, 1 fresh mushroom, sliced, 1/4 cup green pepper sliced, 58 gram shredded chicken (home cooked rather than canned eliminates sodium)…

Why can't you walk them separately? It would actually be very good for them.

Its what you do with the kids in the time you have with them that they will remember, not the time you didn't spend with them. On my father's death bed he was lamenting that he didn't spend as much time as he wanted with us as kids, but I hopefully made him realize that I had only good memories of our times spent together…

Log it and move on, I noticed that I get fewer colds when I add a vitamin C to my daily supplements during cold season. That might help you also. Make sure your caloric amount is compensated for all your activity so you are eating enough. You don't need to eat all of your exercise cals back but should try for at least half…

If you are weighing the grams for the serving size, who cares that it looks more or less. If you want to be sure, you could always put a 1 cup measure on your scale, tare it out and start adding the food until the scale shows serving size amount.

Bring your lunch, make sure you pack plenty of "nibble food" and only eat what you bring and have prelogged. For Ex. if I want chocolate, I would bring a premeasured serving of semisweet chocolate chips. You can have more (nibble value) if you use minis. for a real chocolate treat, try a serving of Dove Baking Bits. I love…

As others have said, it is a Calorie in < calorie out to lose weight. Yes you can eat everything, just not all in one day. I eat bread but choose to eat a 12 grain lite bread that is 45 Cal a slice and limit it to 2 slice a day at most but wouldn't need to if it fits in my Calorie goal. I am eating at about 1300 cal so…

No, but I have used several of their cookbooks and website for recipes.

Before you consider WLS anywhere, consider that it is not the quick fix and unless you drastically change your eating habits the weight can and will come back on. WLS is not without risks. I would say ask my friend but unfortunately she passed away on the operating table. I have not looked at your profile, but if that is…

I couldn't live without my digital food scale! So easy to hit tare and add my portion. Yup, condiments will get you. 2 tbsp. is really a small amount of salad dressing for example. I have found for my large salads I am happier if I let the grams on the scale go up to 2 servings (58) or 4 tbsp. I usually do the grams as…

I like a 12 grain bread that is 45 cal a slice. Tastes good, only 45 cal. Even at that a loaf lasts me so long I keep it in the freezer and just take out what I am going to eat that meal. Only takes a few minutes to completely thaw without toasting or microwaving.

Set your goal to weighing all of your food and logging accurately. Commit to doing it for 6 months to the best of your ability regardless of what you eat. That will get you in the mindset again. Don't worry about the scale or even exercise. If you stay within your calorie goal, you will lose.

input/output. Have you output the same amount as input? Chances are not. Sweat it!

Figure the caloric count for your favorite drinks. Decide ahead of time what you are going to have and how many. Do enough exercise to gain the calories to "earn" those drinks. Me, being of the lazy sort have decided that alcohol is not worth the energy I would need to expend to negate the effects.

If you remember, a gallon of water is 8.34 lbs, If you ever had a colonoscopy or any other reason to clean out your colon, and if you were curious enough to weigh before you started the cleanse process and after you were finished, you will notice a loss of about 10 lbs through that process. Weight fluctuations are natural…

You have a lot of baggage to work through. Are you seeing a therapist? Is there one that will come to your home, if not? You will enjoy life so much more if you can drop the baggage and move forward. As for the weight loss, CICO starts with knowing what goes in. Make sure you are weighing and logging accurately. You can…

Your crockpot is your friend. Explore lower calorie meals you can toss in the crock to have ready when you come home. Set an example for your children by having lower calorie snacks available. Weigh and log everything! Very important!!! Drink enough water, try to stay with your calorie goals. Make sure you stick to portion…
