My son is Dustin Ryan, but we almost named him Christian Tyler or Anthony Michael. Congrats! Dustin means valiant warrior, or literally THOR :)

Valid point.

Your kids are a product of your parenting. Period. Too many parents focused on themselves and what they want rather than parenting their kids. I have two girls and my son who will be a teen one day 19,17,8. They are far from perfect; but they are respectful, well mannered kids who know how to work for what they want. They…

In just learning the basic steps I burn between 250-350 calories an hour depending on how much I put into it, but I found when I was doing the actual class my calories burned went down. I attribute that to my lack of familiarity with what I'm doing. I wear a Polar FT7 during all of my workouts. I know as soon as I get all…

It's not cheap, but I use my Clarisonic. It doesn't really matter what cleanser I use with it. Right now I'm using Biore Ice for blemishes. The brush makes any cleanser work fabulously. My face cleared up in a matter of days after using it.

There are plenty of us out there that have a long way to go, myself included. I still have 100 pounds to lose, maybe a little more. I'll let my body decide when it's time to stop a number on a scale really isn't my goal as long as I am in my healthy range. Feel free to add me. I find friends to be crucial to this process.

I find that most online calculators overestimate. I bought a Polar FT7 HRM and use it religiously. I have to admit sometimes I wonder if it is accurate, too. But I would rather underestimate calories burned than overestimate and eat too much! I do not subtract what I would burn if I were sitting still  . I log what I…

I'm in!

No, quite honestly, she has to want it for herself. Love her and support her no matter what. Dropping hints about her weight, etc are just going to make her feel worse about herself.

I'm in Jacksonville.

I do not personally have experience with it, but I have seen my Mom suffer and not be able to work after her fusion surgery two years ago. Not only did it NOT fix the problem, it made her worse. When she had the surgery they fused three together. Within two days of the surgery she was in excruciating pain. She thought it…

I lost 1 pound this week. I've lost a total of 7 pounds on this challenge.

Obviously, that guy is lacking something in his personal life that made it necessary to try to bring you down, too. Keep doing what you're doing and don't let discouragement and negativity weigh you down. I love the shock collar idea! haha

My husband is 5'9. I'm 5'7. He hates his height, but I love it. I have personally never enjoyed looking up to a guy or standing on my tiptoes to kiss him. That being said, I have never dated someone based on their height. I have dated guys shorter than me as well as taller than me. I have never based a potential…

I still have 110 pounds to go! Feel free to add me. I just started this journey in June and I feel so much better already. I log in everyday. Good luck everyone!

Onechick-have you ever tried aqua aerobics? It's less stressful on the joints, but you get a really good workout! Feel free to add me I have about 110 ultimately left to go and more if necessary. I'm not really worried about a specific number and I'll know when my body feels right :)
-
I have been doing aqua aerobics now for two weeks and I love it. I can't speak long term results, but the water takes away a lot of the impact and makes it easier to do things you can't do out of the water. I can feel the difference in my legs already. Good luck!

Looks awesome! Thanks for sharing

I love to eat, too and I absolutely love to cook. I've modified my recipes to be healthier, or if they can't be modified I look for alternatives. I don't deprive myself at all. I'm never hungry and I eat more than I did before I started this life-changing journey. I exercise daily and I have begun to look forward to my…

I'm trying to lose over 100 pounds. I've only just begun this journey (June 3rd), but my motivation is the changes I'm seeing in my body and the way I feel. I do have bad days, I think we all do. I don't dwell on those, I just keep moving forward and focusing on my goals. I know that it's a long process, but I'm finally in…
