  • I used to weigh 105 before (10 years ago) and to be honest I did not look well. I gained weight over the years, my highest was 137 back in January 13, now I weigh 128 and my current goal is 120. Ultimately I'd love to be in the 115 range this year but small steps for now :) I'm not doing anything drastic in my diet, I…
  • I feel your pain! What's worked for me in the past is spend my lunch hour walking up and down the stairs (our building has 6 floors). It helps too if you can coerce a lunch buddy to do it with you so it doesn't feel like work!
  • Considering cost, I think it's worth a try. I'm currently rotating at OB-GYN clinic right now and I've heard good feedback from patients regarding IUD. Most providers recommend it too; they said overall they have seen the least side effects from the IUD. I should warn you about the pain, most women who never had kids had a…
  • Awesome ideas, please keep them coming! I want to build a weekly rotation of snacks to bring at work. I get tired of the same stuff easily so I'm keeping notes. The post about rum made me giggle a little bit.
  • I'm 5'2" and my GW is 120. I'm 130 now, but I seriously need a more toned/lean figure so I'm trying to get to that goal by increasing my physical activity. Not restricting my diet that much - I still eat anything I want but the key for me is portion control.
  • I started in January but only began logging in here at MFP about 2 days ago. I'm also at 1200 calorie plan and my goal time frame is almost the same as yours. To all of you reading this, please free to add me! :)
  • Yeah I don't give up anything either. I used to go cold turkey and go on healthy mode but found out that it does not work for me. Portion control/everything in moderation is my motto! I just learned to exercise more so I can eat what I want lol.
  • Please feel free to add me as well! 29yo 5'2" mom of a 3yo active duty military physician assistant student HW 137 CW 130 GW 120
  • YES! I blame it on stress and lack of sleep :) Glad I found MFP again to keep me in check! I just want to feel healthy and fit again.
  • Hi there! I'm new to this site and this is my first post :) I'm a PA student currently on my clinical year. I have struggled so much with weight gain since entering the program. To put it on perspective I gained so much weight during my didactic year that I now weigh more compared when I was pregnant with my first child…
  • Thank you ladies for the responses. A month ago I was alternating my runs in the gym and outside, but since it's getting colder (Anchorage weather) I am now mainly running on a treadmill - I actually don't mind this at all. To be honest I only run once or twice a week. I know that if I need to reach my target pace I need…
