Dude you're getting younger as you lose weight. Way to go.

Congrats on your success so far. Look forward to the update later. Very inspirational, thank you.

I have a BMI of 33.5 with BF of 26.83%. I'm okay with that cause I have a lot of muscle and heavy bone due to genetics.

My fav grilled cheese sammy is with cream styled corn, cayenne pepper and black pepper and sharp shred. Love it.

Run one for me.

Spicy hamburger on toasted wheat bread with salsa, melted cheese, lettuce & pickled beets. Damn filling too. Bliss.....

I love the hot pot style meals. The broth is delicious, the meats are lean and the vegies are fresh. No Sauce to calculate. One of the healthier ways to go for a meal. Especially if you don't add in any noodles. And like other posters have said, don't stress one meal. Watch your portions and have fun.

A pair of hand weights. Very do-able, but up close and messy.

A Kiwi style Sunday roast pork with crackling and all the trimmings. Roast potatoes, kumara, parsnip, carrots, pumpkin, silver beet, broccoli& cauliflower in cheese sauce, with a self saucing chocolate sponge with a large helping of ice cream. Haven't had a meal like this in years.

The more "co-ordinated" your breathing while exercising, the better oxygenated your blood, the better the work out, less stress on your lungs and muscles which in turn helps with recovery time between sets, rounds etc. This has been my experience while learning Kung Fu. When I had to take up running, as part of preparing…

That's my fellow Kiwi doing such a great job of getting healthy. So proud of what you have accomplished mate.

Glad to meet you and hope to read more of what you post in threads.

An opinion is based on a persons knowledge and their experience. It's a point of view. What shows through when people over react to a stated opinion is their own lack of self confidence. I don't expect others to agree with my opinions, they are mine, It's just food for thought meant to make you think and just maybe help…

Love this post. It's motivating to read everyone's NSVs. Keep it up folks. Well let's see, my rings are loose, I've gone from 1X to a medium, 18W pants to 14, knee hurts occasionally as opposed to most of the time, face is slimmer, look and feel healthier and I am much fitter and recover faster.

A good sense of humor, the ability to carry on a conversation that is not limited to sports or cars, a good listener or willing to listen, a hobby that takes them out of the house, and a dirty mind just like mine.

I don't know as much about weight lifting as others do. Just what works for me. I have done high rep low weight since I made up my mind to get healthier and fitter. What I have noticed is that I have no baggy skin anywhere. Including no bat wings. I do intend to lift much heavier weights when I reach my first goal only…

Yes eat back some or most of your exercise calories. I eat back most of mine and have shed around 38lbs since joining MFP with a total loss of about 53-58lbs. Not sure since I did not weigh myself right at the start. It has been painless to do. I'm not on a diet so never worry about what I eat as I eat smaller portions,…

Congrats on that. Both my rings fit now. It's an amazing feeling to be able to see them back where they belong.

I like looking at my friend's diaries if they are open. It gives me some great ideas about food. And it helps make my comments more personal. I will also call you out if you're not eating enough especially if you are working out really hard. I acknowledge almost every post from my friends. I will delete those that don't…

Congrats on your success so far and for the awesome deal with the cute dress. You sure know how to rock it well.

That I make better food choices and don't over eat.

Lady you total ROCK. One thing I will say is that no matter what weight you were at, you are seriously styling. Forget about the BMI and go with what feels best for you. I would look malnourished to get down to "my ideal BMI" because I have heavy bones and a lot of twitch muscle due to my Dad being Polynesian. You are an…

Wow you have done amazing so far. Congrats on what you have achieved doing it simple. And the awesome attitude will take you far.

Who needs a heart cause a heart always broken......

You're doing great lady. Well done.

Thanks for a well thought out positive post. I agree that we all have a different metabolism and that the one size fits all approach does not always work for everyone. I agree that there will be some people who by a doctors order need to be on a lower caloric intake. Education rather than insults or snarky comments will go…

It's a beautiful moment when that happens. And more of them to come too. Congrats.
-
Congrats on what you have achieved so far. You look fantastic at this weight so far. And your legs look great too. Keep it up lady.

Got to love a person with such a take charge attitude towards their own life. I'm sure you will start gathering a new support group around you that will benefit so much from you. Congrats on the wonderful Hubby and for beating the cancer. Can't wait to see you reach goal.
