Great job! I struggle with going up and down on the scale. I lost and gained over the last few years, but I'm still down 18 lbs from my heaviest recorded weight. I recently started being more consistent on MFP after sporadic logging over the last few months. I'm trying once again to get on the wagon and stay there. Thanks…

You are beautiful and such an inspiration! Thank you for sharing your story! I'm am starting my journey to lose 60 lbs. before my birthday at the end of September and you have given me a boost.

I can relate, maybe I need to do the same thing. I lost 24 lbs. before joining MFP last June. I've had ups and downs throughout the last 11 months and have lost another 13 lbs. for a total of 37 lbs. overall. I'm down 3 pants sizes, but sometimes I get discouraged with the scale and mirror. It is tough because of the time…

Great job! I know that going down a size always makes me feel like I'm making progress since the pounds tend to come off of me so slowly.

OMG! One of my favorites (SW Ohio girl here}! I rarely eat it these days, but when I make it at home I add sugar, ground beef/hot sausage, and of course hot sauce! To finish it off, I add habanero cheese!

Dirty here! I try my best to make "healthy" choices, but mostly I focus on calorie intake. Two things I won't give up...COFFEE and SWEETS! :noway: I've lost a total of 37 lbs (13 since joining MFP). I'm going on vacation in 1 week and I'll drink and eat what I want, just not as much as I used to. :drinker:

I'm a little over 5' 4". I've lost 35 lbs. in the last 18 months, but I've fallen off the wagon a few times. I've lost 12 lbs. since jumping back on the wagon in March and I'm working to get the last 30 - 40 lbs. off by my birthday at the end of September. Feel free to add me!

Great job!

I'm so sorry for your loss.

I feel your pain, there are various opinions and advice on this forum and it gets confusing. As for me, I've found a comfort zone that is adding up to 1 - 2 lbs lost per week so I'm sticking with it. I do think eating too little can be a problem, so I eat back most, if not all, of my exercise calories. I exercise 4 - 6…

I'm pear shaped and stand a little over 5' 4". My ultimate goal is size 8, which should be around 145 - 150 lbs. 2 more sizes to go and I'm there!

Wow...what a journey! It is more confirmation that I need to bump up my strength training. You look great, thanks for sharing and continued success!

I'm 5' 5" (give or take a half inch or so). I've lost 35 lbs. and want to lose at least 35 more. Mostly I'm hoping to get into a size 8.
-
And by the way, I have lost a total of 33 lbs. (8 lbs. since joining MFP).

I have a range which is based on my hunger and activity level. I try to stay between 1200 - 1700 cal. I know that if I try to restrict myself to one specific number I will fail. I am making healthy food choices, drinking lots of water, exercising and I'm losing weight and inches. I know that many people on MFP have their…

I think whatever works for you is good. I personally have tried 1200 calories and just end up being so hungry. I fluctuate between 1300 - 1700 calories. Overall I've lost 33 lbs. (8 lbs. since starting MFP).

10 - 15 lbs. for me. I'm down a little more than 30 lbs. from my heaviest weight and I'm down 3 sizes.

I also had a meal at Panera the other day (1/2 turkey bravo sandwich and cup of black bean soup), only to find out the sodium was ridiculous! It is amazing what we learn once we start paying attention!
-
Same here! I saw a photo that was taken last week at an event I attended and realized that my body is changing. Another one I had this morning is that I finally made some significant progress on the scale! : )

I love that you and your wife are doing it together! 10 lbs is a great start! You can find a lot of support on here if you search for it. Best of luck to you!

I should be more specific, it inspired me to increase my exercise. So far so good. Anyone else have something that inspired them recently?

I had lost 25 lbs. and one day I wore a new top. The ditzy receptionist at our office said "Wow, you look skinny in that outfit, you should wear it everyday!" Uh....thanks? :grumble:
-
Wow, that is just amazing! I've lost 30 lbs so far and have about 40 lbs. to go, so thank you for the inspiration. I don't know how you were able to give up sugar totally, but great job! I really don't think I could without losing my mind! :noway:
-
Wow! 6 pants sizes and 2 shirt sizes with a 23 lb loss! It normally takes a loss of 10 - 15 lbs. for me to change sizes! Keep up the great work!
-
Can I still join? I'm doing my own pre-vacation (mid-May) challenge so I'd love to add this to my goals!

I recently moved to a new city and just joined a gym this week, so I'm right there with you! Today was my first day going and I felt great! Congrats to you!

Sounds great! I have a problem with getting hungry so I'm looking for foods that are more filling.

Makes sense! Thanks!
