If you guys haven't listened to some of the recent tunes by Sum41 - you're missing out. Preparasi a Salire and Rise Up off of their latest album, Heaven and Hell is fantastic. https://youtu.be/-tc4i31eWB0?si=GL5f5_Pq3Yl5cnAI

Great responses - thank you! I've noticed, even with consistent logging (doing a daily weight measurement, and measured caloric intake using a food scale) that the past 3-4 weeks have been essentially yo-yoing the same 3-4 pounds. But. When I looked at my other spreadsheet - which is measuring weight each Wednesday morning…

I reached a point earlier this year where the number on the scale was the heaviest it had ever been. So I started getting up early, working out, eating right, etc... and the pounds started coming off. I took a trip to West Africa at the end of February and early March. (super carby foods, with irregular meal patterns as a…

It is kind of stupid - but I had a flannel that I had to hide in the corner of my closet when I gained my latest pile of weight, and yesterday I got cold outside while I was working and went inside and put it on. It buttoned, and was comfortable. The last time I wore it - I couldn't button it.

NICE WORK! I can see my first milestone - it's so close. 305.2 this morning. You and I are on similar trajectories - I weighed in at 346 at the end of August, decided the same. Even our goal weights are similar. Going to send a friend request.
-
Fantastic work! Appreciate the share - I'm heading down the same path. Started at 345 - shooting for 195.
-
Down 31 pounds today as this last 8 week cycle comes to a close! Excited to start the next cycle and keep the momentum going.

Dante - what program is this? I love it!! Is this someplace in MFP - because if so - can someone show me how to find it?
-
FWIW - I do a hybrid of the two schools. I keep two logs of my scale weights. One of them is a TDEE spreadsheet where I am being absolutely dogmatic about daily weigh-ins and careful counting of calories - I'm treating that sheet as a scientific experiment on myself. I can see how my body reacts to nutritional intact,…

@amart4224 Nice work! Definitely a difference. I've finally reached the point where other people have started to notice and asked, "Have you lost weight?" I like that stage. :)
-
I had just hopped onto the group today to see if someone had a post regarding this - because I have found it fascinating. I'm using the TDEE 3.0 Spreadsheet to track this go around and doing everything I can with food scale, etc.. to ensure that I am getting accurate numbers for that spreadsheet. This week I had a couple…

Yup - I'm working on a 150 pound loss. Started the 31st of August. Working on going from 345 to 195. Feel free to add

I hope that you're able to find what you're looking for. My profile picture was taken on Snake Island outside of Badagry Creek in Lagos. Love Naija food! I just wish I could find goat pepper soup, Asun, and Jollof here in Oregon!

Hey everyone - just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Ben, I've done this whole rollercoaster thing far too many times. Most recently an almost 80 pound loss in 2015. I was injured, and unfortunately spent 2-3 years arguing with doctors about the injury and pain I was experiencing in my lower leg. An MRI finally…

Well, in my defense... I didn't see that there were multiple pages when I began to write the response. And frankly, I don't have the time to respond to each and every argument that I disagree with. I'm seeing by reading through the responses on the post it wouldn't matter anyway - so frankly - I'm not going to waste my…

Sorry, just becuase you repeat it over and over again doesn't make it true. Might I recommend Gary Taubes book, "Why We Get Fat, and What to Do About It", he has another one that is a much more difficult read, "Good Calories, Bad Calories". Additionally - check out the Maffetone Method. What you put into the engine is important, but getting the engine to burn fuel efficiently is essential as well.…

Nice work!!! It's such a good feeling to complete a solid run. I am also a C25K graduate. I've run a 6K, 8K, and am now training for a half-marathon. I've seen my times drop and my distances increase significantly. A good friend of mine was a runner in college, and I talked to her before I started - simply because I knew…

I had a really awful day today too. Tomorrow - new slate. New day - stick to the plan.

I'm running between a 28 and 28:45 5K right now at 260. I've found increasing my cardio in the evening has made a huge difference as to by lung capacity. For me - it's all oxygen levels. The muscle in my legs doesn't have a problem - it's my wind intake that makes the difference. You might up your cardio in addition to the…

In. Dalek me.

Been watching like a madman the past week. Can't get enough.
-
Awesome - lots of folks from Oregon! Anybody running the Portland Marathon or Half? I registered to run the half!
-
I do the same as the general consensus - I don't eat before I run. I also wake up about a half hour before I have to run and work on a quart or so of water. Usually - just before I need to go run I can typically go. Running on a full colon sucks. Running on a full colon that wants to no longer be full sucks even more. I…

I paid just a little over $100 for mine. Pair of New Balance 860v4. I love them. They're super comfortable - they correct my overpronation, and they are a dream to run in. Don't let people talk you into the $200 dollar tech shoe, good shoes can be had for far less. Brooks, Saucony, Asics, New Balance -- all fantastic…

Thought I'd update this with this weeks awesome. Not only does it work - it works REALLY well. I did the C25K trainer, then went straight into the C210K trainer. I didn't struggle too much on the runs, though had an injury in week 12 that set me back a couple weeks, but I skipped a week when I got back into it and was able…

I'm more of a cation person myself.

Either way... you're turning into a gremlin.
