I treat my mental struggles as an adversary, and my common war cry is.... "I DON'T KNOW YOU!!! THAT'S MY PURSE!!!" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJl3ZAg6mj0 Though seriously... the people along my running route must think I'm insane.

Why so few calories? I started at 327 pounds - shooting for losing 1.5 pounds a week, and after losing almost 70 pounds, I'm still eating 2330 calories a day. 1200 seems like too few calories for where you are right now. You will have serious difficulty sustaining that amount of calories, for the long-term. Perhaps…

One perk to living in Oregon. We can't pump our own gas.

The rogue is a MONEY Salmon Fishery. Type Rogue River Salmon into Google Images and check it out. :) I go down to Medford once a month - have a number of friends that fish the Rogue, it's a great fishery. Ben

Southern Oregon - How close to Coos Bay? We live up in Salem - and make a trip over to Newport once a year to pick up a couple things like tuna that we can ourselves... but if you have a few hours on a weekend, and live close to a river (ie - Rogue), and are willing to invest some time and energy (it's good calorie…

Yes. In fact, I just ran my first 5K this past Wednesday. My second yesterday. When I started the program I couldn't run for 90 seconds straight without just dying and not being able to breathe... this week alone I ran 3.25 miles, and 3.1 miles without stopping - 9:35 and 10:00 mile respectively. It works if you follow it…

Thanks for the responses. I haven't hit a full plateau yet, but the loss has slowed a bit. Largely due I think to an insane work schedule that has kept me away from the gym like I would have liked. I am also eating back my calories based on the advice of the site, and I didn't used to do that. The work situation has…

Working on losing 122 over here to start with - then re-evaluate where I'm at and how I feel. I started middle of October at 327 pounds, and shooting for 205. I gave myself until age 35 to make that happen - 1 year and 7 months from now. I'm down a little over 60lbs so far, and working on blasting through this current…

Donated em all, save one pair of 'Fat Jeans' for comparison purposes when I get done. I will hang on to those as a reminder... but the rest of them... I treated them like Cortez - burn the boats, there's no going home. I don't want to have them on the back shelf as a just in case. There is no just in case. I took all mine…

I'm not doing caffeine right now - so my go to tea (Earl Grey) is out. I'm currently alternating between an organic peppermint, and a Good Earth Caffeine-Free Sweet and Spicy that I love.

We went to a Dr. Who party last night at a friends house. A whole big group of us are Whovians, but we haven't really gotten together to watch with one another. So we all selected a few of our favorite episodes - went and watched some classic and some New Who, ate some fish fingers and custard and Jammie Dodgers. (I might…

I played for a lot of years. Started with 2nd Edition when I was in high school, then took several years break until I started teaching - and we started an after school Tabletop gaming club. D&D was one of our mainstays. I'm one of the rare birds that preferred 3.5 over 2 - though I've basically decided that at this point…

Love Dr. Who - Tennant is my fave. Headed to a Who party next Saturday night - 8 of us, each get our favorite episodes. Stoked.
