When you say "workout" what do you mean? If it's just cardio then you probably gained fat. If is strength training then there's a good chance it's muscle.

If you're walking on the treadmill, rather than running, you might want to look at ellipticals or arc trainers. They are fabulous calorie burners!

If you're obsessed about the number on the scale, weighing daily can really mess with your head, as there will be fluctuations. but if you can remain detatched and are able to look at the over all trend through the week, then daily weighing can make a fun graph to read. It depends if you are estimating your calorie goal including that level of exercise. If you told MFP that you were sedentary then def count the walking as exercise!

The fitbit one estimates your TDEE just like every website does with your vital stats. Then it divides that by 24 and uses that value when you're not doing anything. It's just a glorified pedometer so it can only measure what a pedometer can. It does vertical too, which is a bonus. A heart rate monitor is way more accurate.

Kind of. Low carbs (and hence high protein or high fat) is good for burning body fat.

What on earth for??? OP: If you're eating at a calorie deficit and doing strength training to minimise the amount of muscle lost, then as has been said, 1g per pound of lean body mass is recommended.

In Germany the calories are Euro Standard calories and actually called Haarschmuckfachgeschäft. You'll need the add-on app for MFP that converts them to regular US calories.

I believe the technical term is a f*** ton! It starts at 500 and goes up from there depending on how much PB you have. My diary is open if you want to check it out.
