My maintenance had been 133-138 since 2014. I've jumped up to 144 highest since I initially lost weight from 176 lbs in 2012. The lowest I've ever seen on the scale was 129.

It did take awhile. I lost weight slowly so that didn't help I guess... 22 pounds came off in 6-7 months. That's probably around the time I "started" noticing. First 3 months and 10-15 pounds down I felt like I looked exactly the same.

Yes, for accountability. Otherwise it's very easy for me to slip back into old habits and gain more weight... sauces, creams, cheeses all add up very quickly and I love it all! lol

Definitely agree with what has been said. Because I'm small framed and don't have much muscle mass, I lose on 1200 and maintain on 1600.

Even if I'm rail thin I have a big butt. I have learned to accept it for what it is. A lot of people wish they had this figure. Get in a weight range that is healthy and then OWN your curves :)

At 1200 calories per day with 30 minutes exercise you should be losing weight. Are you weighing your food? How long have you been restricting calories? Mine is currently 22. I believe I look best with a BMI around 21. It's not a big difference in weight but it seems to make a big difference on my frame.

I lost 3 pounds in the last 3 months and it JUST showed on the scale a couple days ago. Plateauing occurs more often as you get closer to goal.

I counted calories at that young of an age which led to a teenage eating disorder. You should not mention to her ANYTHING about her weight (although you might have already). It REALLY hurts to hear that stuff from your mother. -_-
