Bump- I have found that I need a few potato chips and m & m's to make it through the week. I do try to eat healthy though - but add in a few treats to keep me satisfied.

I had two co-workers comment on my weight loss - they said it was noticeable!

So for week one I logged 2,332 calories burned. Although I know this is a good number for me, it was a really odd week! So I am shooting for 3,000 calories for next week!

Ashley - Sorry to hear of your loss! Sending prayers! This last week has been a strange one - I was unable to workout day 1 and day 3 of this week, so I won't hit this weeks goal, but I am not letting it keep me down. I am headed to the gym after work and will go in the morning. I should still get 2200 cals. at the end of…

First day....first set back. I was already to workout this morning - bag was packed! BUT in our hometown we had a massive fire in the center of town. My husband is a fire fighter so needless to say I was unable to sleep, let alone get up and get to the gym at 6:00 A.M. (On a side note - there were no injuries!) I will try…

My goal is 10,000 to 12,000 - not as high as some of the others posted here. But I know that this will be a good challenge for me!

I love this idea - the extra incentive will make me push just a bit harder!

We have a Kinect and over Christmas break I did and workout game. I really liked it, but around the same time I started going to the gym a few days a week and haven't needed to try and workout at home. It is a great workout to try! Have Fun!

You have a great sense of humor and attitude. I agree - this journey will be tough but that doesn't mean I can't have some fun along the way. Add me if you want!

I did a double a couple of weeks ago on a Saturaday. It really pushed me - but at the same time I felt awesome at the end. For me, I really have to feel it to do in a row!

Yes - this site is free. The best piece of advice I got was to log everything - what you eat and your exercise. Once you get started get the hang of it. Are you using the website or a smartphone/device? I use both - I find the web site good for following message boards and I like using my phone to log my exercises and my…

I totally understand - I have actually bought mens UA workout shirts because I like them a bit loose and long. At first I was a bit self concious about buying a mens shirt - but I feel so much more comfortable in it!

I am 5'8 and have set my inital goal at 200 lbs. I know that I will probably want to be below that number - but figured a 60 lb. weight loss was a good place to start.

Howdi - my name is Rachel and I will turn 41 in May! I have been really working hard to achieve my fitness and weight loss goals and this will help me stay the course. I really enjoy those sweaty workouts, but am overweight! So this will help to motiviate me. I have been doing crossfit, the elliptical and am planning on…

We actually had some nice weather a few weeks ago. I have been working out doing crossfit, the elliptical, but not the treadmill. But during Spring Break while my girls were at softball practice I decided to go for a jog and did 3 miles! I have never jogged that far before in my life. I am incredibly slow - it took my 45…

As a newbie, some things can be frustrating. But you have the right idea. Now you have your baseline and have a better starting point for the next time as you work up to your 1RM. Good Luck!

A great thing to keep in mind!

There are a lot of varying opinions - but you need to do what is best and motivates you!

Umm.... I think 100 Burpees would send me running for the hills!
-
Drinking water really helps me.

I turned 40 last year and totally understand what you are saying - I just got really serious about this at the beginning of the year and would love more buddies! Anyone can add me!
-
I have never heard of it either - but am looking it up! Thanks

Great job keeping your eye on the prize!

Currently I am just worried about calories and it is working. Once I hit a plateau I will then need to rethink my strategy.

MFP set my calories at 1790 - I earn more with my exercise so I try to hit at least 1500.

I have been doing CF for a bit - but am very overweight. I love how much strength I have gained already and am hooked to it. Your welcome to add me - but I am sure I am not at your level of fitness....Yet!

I totally agree!

I have been suffering with this lately. And I really hate to give up my workouts. I am just about ready for a new pair of shoes. I am thinking I need to look into what has been said here.
