  • Mmmm, I love me some sushi! Had it yesterday in fact. I usually go for a cup of hot and sour or miso, some edamame and one roll. Spicy tuna or sweet potato and avocado are my two favorites. Sometimes I skip the edamame and have two rolls instead. yum!
  • whole wheat english muffin with almond butter, honey and banana, and coffee :)
  • I'm currently obsessed with rice bowls, My current favorite is brown rice, black beans, broccoli, avocado and hot sauce. Easy, cheap and you can mix up the combination of rice/veg/protein/fat to keep it interesting
  • My overall goal is to lose 60lbs this year and commit to weight lifting at least 2x per week. My goal to get me there will be to track on MFP every day in 2014, good days and bad
  • Last night I had grilled pizza with mushrooms and ricotta, plus a big salad with viniagrette. And a Moscow Mule!
  • mmmm, I love Indian! It can be really caloric if you're choosing dishes that have a lot of ghee or cream in them. My two favorite dishes are baingan bharta and chana masala which are not too bad for you. Baingan bharta is a roasted eggplan dish with tomatoes, onions and tons for spices. Chana is chickpeas in a tomato based…
  • homemade brown fried rice with ginger broccoli and baked egg rolls
  • eggs and baby spinach. Eggs are such a quick, easy meal or snack and keep me full longer than anything else. And I can sneak spinach into just about everything to boost my vitamins for the day!
  • I remember a distinct moment at the gym 6 years ago.. I stepped on the scale and saw 149lbs, up 4 lbs from my goal.. I thought to myself, "I'd better get back on track so I don't keep gaining" Here I am re-starting my journey because I stopped tracking and thought I could do it on my own. So no, I'll never stop tracking in…
  • I usually cycle through a few different things- Big salads- I'm loving mixed greens, goat cheese, roasted sweet potato and dried cherries with balsamic. Also greek salads tuna salad or chicken salad with crackers pb&j leftovers form dinner the night before I also bring snacks like cut up veggies with laughing cow, fruits,…
  • Oh, I feel like I've tried them all! Low-carb, grapefruit, master cleanse, juice fasts, some weird 3 day diet, the 8 hour diet, south beach, diet pills, etc. I did weight watchers as well and loved it, but it's too expensive for me to continue on a regular basis. MFP has been the most "normal" eating I've had, so I think…
  • oh man, I used to love these things! I stopped eating them for no reason really, maybe I just got tired of them? The spicy black bean burgers and corn dogs were my jam!
  • I ate a lot of the same foods I do now, but much larger portions. And a huge asiago cheese bagel with veggie cream cheese for breakfast 3-4 times a week- now I limit it to once every other week Oh and after dinner was when I would really get into trouble- I'd snack on whatever I could find. Nuts, spoonfuls of nutella,…
  • I always add some frozen berries, chia seeds and maybe 1/2 teaspoon of honey... pack it in the morning and by lunch the berries thaw and sweeten the yogurt. It does take some time to get used to plain though, especially considering the fruited ones are so sweet. I also second the suggestion of going for 2% over fat free,…
  • ugh I can't choose between two! The first was my own doing, a spinach and cheese strata that I found on pinterest. It looked and smelled delicious, tasted like savory rotten french toast The second was a meal at this place called Midevil Manor. One of those places where you watch jousting and eat with your hands.…
  • gummy snacks/gummy bears- will eat them until I'm sick tortilla chips potato chips with onion dip nutella guacamole
  • Definitely- I went from working a job where I was on my feet 12 hours at a time to sitting for 8 hours. I do walk around during the day but the majority is spent sitting. Add that to my 1+ hour commute each way and the exhaustion once I get home and I've gained weight. I'm not trying to hit the gym on my way home from work…
  • We ate dinner in all week long growing up, and typically ordered out on a Friday night and maybe went out to Sunday lunch. My dad was a good cook and would like to experiment sometimes with thai or indian food. Mainly during the week though my mom cooked dinner. Once my parents divorced around 10-11, my mom still tried to…
  • We try and limit it to about $100 a week for my fiance and myself. That's not including we usually eat out at least once on the weekends, so that's another ~$50. But we don't spend a lot of money on other stuff, we don't go to the movies much or shopping. Food is our hobby lol
  • I believe it's 1/4 cup uncooked, which would make about 1/2-3/4 cup cooked, depending on the amount of liquid you used. Hope that helps!
  • I didn't eat anything after dinner tonight. This is huge for me because I'm normally a major night snacker and that's where my excess calories come from. I also made a plan to start 30DS tomorrow morning and set my alarm to do this!
  • my goal is 160- I've been in the 140's before and looking back on pics I look too thin. I want a weight that is healthy (not BMI "healthy") but also allows me to live my life. Sure I could get down to 140 again, but I had to really restrict to stay there and basically have no social life. This time around I'm aiming for…
  • I'm in! I'm leaving for vaca in FL on Wed-Sat but I'll jump right back in once I'm back. Planning to be very active down there but I won't have access to weights etc to continue the video.
  • mmmm, I used to be a Subway junkie for some random reason then suddenly stopped. However, I'll still swing by everyone in awhile. My go to is always ham on honey oat with extra tomatoes, extra cukes, olives, peppers, banana peppers, pickles and light mayo. yum.
  • I'm in! I'm 27, 5'6" and currently 237 (although after indian food last night my scale is telling me 242, yikes! I know it's water weight but wowwww) I'd like to lose 10# by April 30th. I've been having a hard time committing to this lifestyle change so I think a challenge will help motivate me!
  • baked mac and cheese made with 1/2 cheese 1/2 roasted butternut squash to lighten it up- with ham and peas mixed in!
  • I alternate between 3 whole wheat english muffin with peanut butter and sliced banana egg sandwich on e muffin or bagel thin with light cheese and ham or if I know I'm having a crazy week I'll make muffins (banana or blueberry) and grab one with a hard boiled egg and some fruit
  • wow, this has inspired me to log everything! I'm pretty bad at not logging things like salsa, ketchup, mustard. etc. I'm also guilty of stopping logging once my day gets too "bad'. This is obviously not helping my weight loss cause! I think I'm going to try and log every bite I eat until May 10th (I'm going away on a trip…
