Bump for ideas!

Instead of setting "time" goals, set milestones and rewards. For example: When I hit 65 lb lost, I went out for pizza with friends. (Although some would argue this is not a good reward) When I hit 75 lb lost, I splurged on crafting supplies. When I hit 85 lb lost, I bought some awesome skinny jeans and boots to go with…

Get a good scale and put it somewhere convenient. I have a digital one at home and a cheap-y analog one for the office. They say knowledge is power and the scale lets you know exactly what you're putting in your mouth. I prefer weighing to measuring on things like almonds, etc.

You can do it! Believe you are worth it. Make a plan and stick with it. Be amazed! I'm still in shock at my 86 lb loss, but it is totally possible.

I was looking forward to being the smallest of 3 sisters - goal achieved! :)

Agreed, but what I'm doing is obviously working for me. There are those that have success in ways I find unappealing or stupid, but I can't let it deter me.

I'm gonna get told I'm a moron, but for me it's about one life change at a time. Getting my diet in order was a major change. I already had cardio as part of my life. Weight lifting, whether at home or at the gym would be another major change to my routine. So it might not be the wisest choice, but I'm going to wait until…

Here's what I wrote up in June. I'm now at 84 lb lost; turning 30 in December. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Here’s the Story. Starting point June 3rd 2012: 219 pounds, size 16 pants, 1x tops, but not comfortable. I started losing weight about 4 years ago when I started exercising with my dogs – walking and doing dog sports.…

Off to a fantastic start!

My goal is 130 by 30 - does that count? I have 7 pounds and 11 weeks to get it done!

I just had this discussion with my dh. As someone who enjoys preparing food for others (and them enjoying it), I struggle with my love for food-centric events/holidays.

Bump! Thanks all for sharing.

Great job!!!!!!!!!!

Both. But I am a heck of a lot more pleasant to be around, so maybe it's the hotness, maybe it's the attitude. Don't care because I'm awesome and it finally shows.

Keep up the good work!!

Envy. If you haven't tried one, you must before coming to conclusions.

I prefer to eyeball too, but weighing and measuring helps me sleep at night. And has helped me lose 80 lb. (started at 219)

QFT. I gave myself a deadline - 30 years old - to change my mind. It's coming up in a couple months and I'm more resolute than ever that I don't want rugrats. I was up front with my husband from the beginning though and told him I didn't want kids. I made sure he was ok with it before we were married. Save yourself the…
