  • Hey Everyone, My name is Tammy. I'm a mother of 4, Zumba instructor and am currently studying for my AFAA group fitness certification. I took the summer off from Zumba and gained a few pounds. My mid section was bloated and I had this horrible heaviness. I friended a fellow Zumba instructor on Facebook and she is all about…
  • http://altmedicine.about.com/cs/dietarytherapy/a/CastorOilPack.htm You can also just rub the castor oil on your stomach and wrap yourself with saran wrap and then put a towel over the wrap and a heating pad over the towel. Make sure it's cold-pressed castor oil from a health food store. I don't care for the flannel because…
  • I've started using castor oil packs, and within a few days my husband noticed a change. I carried twins full term and have a weird apron around my abdominal area, plus I've lost a lot of weight, so the skin is really loose and saggy. Aside from the skin-tightening benefits, it also detoxes your body when you place the pack…
  • I've heard a lot about injuries in Bokwa as well. I'm a Zumba instructor, so I have to admit that I'm a little biased on which one I like more. But at least with Zumba you're taught that what you do on one side, you also have to do with the other side. I've also heard people say Bokwa is nothing more than advanced…
  • Zumba is the best! I've lost 65 pounds and have gone from a size 18 to a size 4 in 6 months. Of course diet had a lot to do with it, but the weight has been off for almost a year and I recently got licensed to instruct Zumba!!!
  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mghi3SQShzs The instructors are the biggest women in this entire class, and look at how much fun everyone is having. The instructors are getting everyone pumped. It's all about fun, and if you love what you're doing and you remain confident, it won't matter. Notice I said instructorS!!!
  • I'm just going to say this, because this post kind of irks me a little. When I started taking Zumba classes, I was a size 18. After less than a year of doing Zumba, I shrunk down to a size 4 and will be getting my license to instruct Zumba in a couple of weeks. It bothers me that you use the excuse of being intimidated as…
  • ignore this one too...i wish MFP would allow you to delete posts when you screwed it up.
  • you look great!!! WTG!
  • I doubt that you can lose that much in one day. It doesn't take a day to put the weight on, and it sure as hell doesn't take a day to take that much off. Perhaps they measured in a different spot or had their readings wrong the first day. It happens.
  • Yay! Isn't it crazy how we take for granted the little things we don't even realize we can't do until we can do them again? Keep up the good work :)
  • I just learned how to do this. Open up a photobucket account and then add your pics to a library. Once you do that, click on the gear thing on the pic and select edit. Then resize the largest number to 500. After you do that you can select "get links" and and choose image code, just make sure to change all of the the URL…
  • I've done Zumba for a few years now, but it wasn't until I started using MFP that the weight started coming off. It really helps to have to hold yourself accountable for what goes in your mouth :)
  • I mostly do Zumba, but I do try to do a little strength training at least 2x a week. Jillian Michaels No More Trouble Zones was a huge help.
  • Thanks...they were actually tight!!!

  • Stop it! you look awesome!!
  • Dear Mr. Troutman: My post was actually posted accidentally as I was trying to figure out how to upload pics to the forums. But I'm sorry that I'm holding up a pair of pants that very obviously were a pair that I used to fit into and people felt compelled to comment on my hard work and success. I don't know where your…

  • People call me skinny all the time, and I don't feel like I am. I don't have an eating disorder or anything, but I don't see a slim person when I look in the mirror. I guess it's just me being self-conscience since I was so uncomfortable in my own body for so long.
  • I'm pretty open about it. Nobody believes me until I show them pictures, and then they still don't believe me.
  • It took me about six months to reach my original goal.
  • i eat lower calorie meals for breakfast and lunch and tend to eat more for dinner. Tonight was a 700 calorie + meal, which is not common for me, but if I have the leftover calories, I allow myself to splurge at dinnertime since nighttime is when I want to eat more. It all depends on your preference is. I'd rather not eat…
  • @walker, I have one of those. Never thought of using two. Maybe I'll go buy another one. I just hate how hot it gets!!! And I always get the rough side of the velcro touching my skin somehow :)
  • I'm thinking of having this done in a year or two. I have the tummy tongue flap like in the movie "Click". I've lost 60 pounds and I went from a size 16 to a size 6 in less than 6 months, so I know that has a lot to do with the excess skin. I've also had four kids (a set of twins) and two c-sections. I want to wait until…
  • I could care less about a true tummy tuck versus just getting this skin flap to go away. I will check at my next yearly. Thanks everyone :) I have great abs underneath all of this, I swear!!!
  • And congratulations to everyone on their weight loss achievements. It feels great, doesn't it? I guess we can say our flappy belly tongues are our trophies (like that makes it any better, lol).
  • I'm definitely done having babies. I have shape wear, but it's all too big, so maybe I'll just invest in some more spanx. I read it can take up to two years for your final results, so maybe I'll just wait the two years and then decide what to do. Gag, in two years I'll be a less than two months shy of 40. That would be a…
  • Maybe I should just buy some spanx????
