Thanks for the info! And good luck finding one near you!

I watch my DVRed shows while walking on the treadmill. I also do a program on the treadmill that varies the speeds and that always seems to go faster. I mix it up by also biking around a beautiful lake near our house. I will soon start lap swimming again too.

I'm a little older than you (I'm 34) but I think it's important to track everything I eat. I strive to get 3 fruits and 3 vegetables a day and try to incorporate those into meals like stir fry as much as possible. Or I will have a string cheese and an apple for a snack, for example.

Neat video. Thanks for sharing it!!

I'm interested in doing a cleanse too (now that we are back from vacation and all of the horrible temptations LOL) Can you tell me more about the cleanse? Thanks!

Are you getting proteins before and after workouts?

woo hoo! Nice work!!!

Tomorrow is a new day. I got off track with my eating over the weekend as Saturday was my birthday and Sunday was Father's Day. Vow to get back on track tomorrow....maybe force yourself to eat 3 fruits and 3 veggies tomorrow and drink all of your water. Thursday add something else back in. Don't be too tough on yourself!…

Maybe try adding more protein....

I am in week 5 of C25K but I will be looking for the 10K program after I complete C25K. Glad you are liking it so much! I LOVE the C25K program! Never considered myself a runner but did 2 8 minute runs tonight! YAY!

wow! thanks so much everyone. I am still frustrated but I am trying to go a little easier on myself. My husband keeps reminding me that I have more energy and I LOVE exercising now. But I keep eating the "junk" I have 2 young sons and I guess I feel like they shouldn't have to do without because mom can't keep her hands…

Thanks everyone! I just started back to C25K after having to stop because of a sore knee. So I started back with Week 3 Day 1 this afternoon. I can't believe I got up to 25 minute runs. It was a little tough today but I am glad to be back at it. My runs today were at 4.5 so it's easy to compute that I ran at 4.5 for 9…

Sorry for your loss! I hope you are able to use him as inspiration to stay on track toward your goals!

Thanks Calie! I raked the neighbors front lawn with her and my 3 year old while the 1 year old slept this afternoon. It was good exercise and the weather was BEAUTIFUL here in StL today! It kept me out of the kitchen and from snacking all afternoon! YAY After dinner I am hitting the treadmill and will be watching dvred…

Good Monday morning everyone! I have been missing for a while. I feel off the wagon when I hurt my knee at the end of August. And I am totally determined to get back on track TODAY!! The good news is that I have been wearing my pedometer everyday in my absense from here. I strive for 7 or more miles a day. Yesterday I got…

just completing my Friday though it is 1:30 a.m. 14296 today and that's with no "real" exercise! I stayed plenty busy watching a friends baby daughter and getting some cleaning done. Tonight the same friend hosted a Crop for the Cure (Breast Cancer) and I helped her with that/ The best part was walking all around…

I think my best advice to anyone who is busy is to wear a pedometer. I find that I try to challenge myself to walk more steps when I know the pedometer is logging my exercise. Also drink as much water as you can! Good luck!

YAY, got great news yesterday at the doctor! He said he wouldn't worry about my knee. The swelling is going down on it's own and the fluid is being reabsorbed by my body! (Kinda gross to think about LOL) Anyway, he just said not to do anything that made my knee hurt! I think I can handle that. So I am back to the…

thanks Peschuntz! The knee is feeling much better. it has been 3 weeks ago today that I injured myself at BootCamp (my own darn fault for not paying attention to what I was doing) Friday of the first week, friends talked me into going by Acute Care and I got an xray as it was huge bruised and quite painful. Xray didn't…

I've fallen off the wagon for a few days. This knee injury has really thrown me for a loop. Got in 14997 today! Finally able to use the treadmill and elliptical without major pain in my knee! YAY :drinker:

I have the $15 pedometer from WalMart, keeps up to the past 7 days. A little tough for me to set (I needed my computer hubby to help me measure my steps to set it) but I love it so much that I wore it a ton and accidentally caught the clip and broke it off so I bought another one.... After I get into the great habit of…

bragging on myself  Took my kids to the baseball game via the MetroLink and walked a ton!!! :drinker: Then I decided that I couldn't just sit around while watching the premier of Biggest Loser (on DVR) so... I did 30 minutes on the elliptical and 30 minutes on the treadmill for an additional 6199 steps. YAY total…

Ok I need to brag on myself. I am going to do a little on my new (to me) Elliptical while I watch some of the Biggest Loser premiere. I need to get back on track and this is what I need. Thanks for starting this walking group! :drinker: P.S. since I just noticed that I forgot to hit the "post reply" button- I did 30…

So are we starting a new Walking With Pedometers thread each day or just going to keep this one going? I took my two boys on the MetroLink and to the baseball game today. We walked a ton around the Stadium. YAY According to my pedometer, I have walked 14315 steps today. YAY me. I was considering doing…

I'm game! I want to remember to wear my pedometer more. I have a sore knee right now but I am trying to get in as many steps as possible without "real" cardio done. :drinker:
