  • Woo hoo! :) I am 25 days in to journaling everyday! That's pretty darn good for me! Keep it up! See ya at classes :)
  • Along these same lines, has anyone tried the Advocare line of products? Thoughts?
  • SmilingSelena- Thanks for posting those articles. I too was looking at Body by Vi. The articles have really opened my eyes.
  • My fitness pal has it set up so that you will lose weight if you eat around your alloted calories each day. When you exercise, you burn calories and need to replenish your body. If you don't eat back some of those calories, your body will think you are starving it and you won't lose. There is a pinned topic on the subject…
  • depending on how much jumping and bouncing and the instructor, I log it as Aerobics low or high impact. Sometimes I adjust the amount of time to less than an hour too depending on how much time between songs.
  • What about good ol' walking. I personally DVR shows that I only let myself watch when I am on the stationary bike or treadmill in my basement. Find people that can help keep you accountable to the exercise--like minded friends who have similar goals. Good luck! it's definitely a process.
  • We're ready for fall and a bit cooler temperatures because we love crock pot meals like chili, chicken noodle soup and other yummy nutritious meals :)
  • are you weighing it and looking at ounces? Maybe that would help in the database? Or looking outside of myfitnesspal for answers? Good ol' google may be able to help?
  • grilled chicken sandwich with only half the bun and side salad? grilled mahi mahi sandwich sweet potato fries are my downfall
  • Katie- I feel for you 100 percent. Can you break up the day by visiting the library? Or having a few close friends over? I always find that I do better when I am held accountable by other people being around. I am a stay at home mom too and yes, it is the BEST job in the world but it is also the toughest! Good luck! And I…
  • I don't have time to read everyone else's responses right now...but can I suggest writing down all of your exercise and food? That might help keep you on track. Or just stay conscious of everything that goes into your mouth, enjoy yourself and know you'll have to work a little harder when you get home. Enjoy and stay safe!
  • Is anyone else on facebook a lot? I find myself looking for the like button. Isn't it always so much easier to talk nice to other people than being gentle with ourselves. I know I struggle a lot with this. I challenge and encourage others to exercise, etc. but I beat myself up. I think we are always going to be our own…
  • why not have fun and date both of them? Life's too short. :) As you get to know them better, you'll be able to decide. I LOVE being flirted with. Been married 9 years though so unfortunately a lot of that is gone! Enjoy it and Congratulations!!!
  • well.....yesterday was my 35th birthday....so needless to say, I am off the wagon a bit. BUT I just had a medium sized piece of my DQ ice cream cake and had my husband help me throw the rest away! I hate wasting food and I know it's not cheap but it was symbolic for me to throw it away. Showing myself that I can take…
  • I did a 5K in the rain on Saturday morning, jogged the first 1/2 with a good friend and then I had to walk. She jogged the whole thing! (I am so proud of her) Anyway, I was hoping for under 35 for my 35th (yesterday) Completed it in 35:53.
  • I'll take your challenge...I feel guilty because I read your title as "daily COOKIE" teehee
  • I do better (mentally) if I get out and exercise with others. I am very social. Can you take any classes or walk with a friend? I also reward myself while exercising (stationary bike, elliptical, treadmill) by watching my DVRed shows on TV. I don't allow myself to watch the shows unless I am exercising.
  • I had slowly floated back up about 10 pounds and finally weighed in this evening 2 1/4 pounds down...YAY! Taking part in a group Biggest Loser Challenge with 3 friends. One guy in the group lost 11 pounds in a week and told us his secret was eating 800 calories a day! I hate to be mean but I hope it bites him in the butt!…
  • I count it as Aerobics low impact or moderate depending on how much jumping I did. (My knees tend to get sore with too much jumping so I take it easy then) LOVE Zumba!!
  • hmmm I believe it's considered a sprint? not sure. The distances are 500 meter swim, 10 mile bike, 5K run I've done 4 1/2 marathons and I'm signed up for my 5th in October- the first ever Rock N Roll St. Louis. Really looking forward to it!
  • Do they have it at a library that you could try?
  • GREAT idea. :) Andrea here. Stay at home mom to two boys, Eric is 5 and will go to Kindergarten in the fall and Jacob will be 3 in September. I am doing my first triathlon at the end of July. I was a swimmer through most of highschool so I'm not worried about that part. But the run and bike have me nervous. Transitions…
  • Very inspirational. I too did the Couch 2 5K and I need to get back into running again. :) Congratulations!!!
  • Welcome! Jump in with both feet. Keep working toward smaller goals. :)
  • NICE!!!!
  • combine high fiber cereal into a trail mix of sorts...that's what I have been doing for my two kids to help them with transitioning to eating more healthy! :)
  • Absolutely! If you think you can do it, you absolutely can!! Commit to doing it and enjoy it!!
  • Have you tried Mio? It's a water inhancer. yes it has some chemicals in it but maybe it would get you into the habit and you could slowly back off to watering it down more. I prefer my water ice cold and play mind games with myself about drinking it. Such as I can watch tv until I drink 8 ounces or I need to drink so many…
  • Thanks for helping me to see it other ways. I agree that people are motivated in different ways. I just wanted to share my opinion and see if others thought the same thing. :)
  • don't you wish they could anonymously see your post here? LOL I'm right there with you... Today it was my kids...I was doing running intervals and ingrossed in my show and they come down to THEIR playroom to play with THEIR toys. And I got mad. LOL I can't blame them for wanting to play but why is it that whenever I head…
