  • I plan to do the 1 rep max exercises for some of the STS DVDs workouts. I also plan to take a couple of walks.
  • Hi I'm Rhonda. My start weight on9/1/13 was 198.4. I hope to lose .5 to .75 pounds per week. I currently walk 10500 steps 5 days a week. My downfall comes on be weekends. Sometimes I find myself eating way too much before dinner. I lift weights 3x/week. I do cardio 2-4x/week. I hope this challenge will get me on track to…
  • I am happy I found this group. It has done me good to state my monthly goals. I actually made myself walk in the rain last night to get my steps in. I took at 44 minute bike ride this evening and forced myself to do a lifting workout last night even though I just wanted to curl up and watch hockey or basketball. Lots of…
  • I turn 50 on 6/10. I hope it's okay to join today. My June goals: -drink 64+ oz water daily -walk 10500 steps a day on average. I hit 10000 pretty regularly. Going into summer I won't be working all day just 1/2 days so getting in the steps will be more of a challenge. -strength training 3 days/wk and cardio 2-3 days/wk…
  • Wow! You are amazing. Thanks for the hope!!!
  • Please add me. I need help!!
  • I just ordered the book. Look forward to starting it in the next couple of weeks.
  • To do a reset you eat at TDEE for 8-12 weeks. You can gradually increase calories to your TDEE or jump right in. You may gain weight during reset. You may wish to check out a website. . .eatmore2weighless There is alot of info on their. I am sure plenty of people with much more time in EM2WL will chime in. Many suggest…

  • Strong Lifts is great. Cathe is great. I am currently getting my butt whipped into shape using her Xtrain dvd. I did NRL4W. I liked that. Anything involving heavier lifting is going to help you get your strength up and improve your shape.
  • I just finished day 3 of the 90 day undulating workout. Very intense. Lots of fun. Doing my best to keep up but definitely will have to work up to her video's intensity level.
  • Hey I started on Saturday. The workout is intense and lots of fun. I have finished day 3 of the 90 day undulating workout plan. There are parts that I had to do at my pace so I didn't get in all the reps the video did. That's okay. She repeatedly says work at your own pace.
  • Sometimes I do a cool down from the fitness blender site. I stretched more early in. I recently added it back in because I was feeling a lot of soreness
  • I had hoped to start stage 7 Tuesday. I have been down and out with sinusitis since Saturday. I hope by this weekend I will be able to get started. After reading how sore you ladies are I am planning for my warm baths and aleve already. Have a great week. You are all an inspiration to me.
  • I would suggest not weighing every day unless you need to for a medical reason. Weight fluctuates daily and within the day. If you haven't done the TDEE calculator on scooby, you may want to do that to be sure you are not undereating or going over your calories. :glasses:
  • I have 3 workouts left on stage 5. Will be done on Monday before Thanksgiving. I certainly will be thankful to be done with stage 5. I had to do the BWM first the other day because my son and his friends were using the weights doing STRONGLIFTS 5X5. It was weird to be done with the workout and no BWM afterward. I did feel…
  • Bax, I agree it is not exciting since it is a repeat of stage 3. I am glad that I have seen an increase in strength and lower time on the BWM. Looking forward to being done with it. I've done 2 workouts of A and 1 of B. Almost 1/2 way done.

  • I am far from an expert. I only started lifting in August. I am on stage 4 of NRL4W. The author of the book encourages you to follow the rest period. I do follow it or most exercises. There are some exercises that I don't do a full rest as suggested. There are others that I truly feel I need that rest period and I take…
  • I have one more workout A and B for stage 4. I didn't increase my weights much at all. I do think my form is much better. I think in stage 2 I probably used too much weight. I too find it hard to do the HIIT on the same day. I did it one time and almost fell asleep in the chair the rest of the day. I am looking forward to…

  • There is not a EM2WL thread for dummies. If you visit the website EM2WL there is an ebook you can download. I just got it after trying this since July and eating at TDEE-20% cut. I haven't lost so I thought I'd try following instructions. Anyway off to a full reset I go. My fitbit say 2325. Scooby says 2356. On the…
  • I started stage 4 today. I did much better with a bit less weight on the FSPS. That helped my form and allowed me to complete the sets. Thanks for the suggestion on form Aside Bottom. Cowgirl you are amazing with your lifting. Glad to be back lifting though I don't like the FSPS. Have a great evening.

  • The whole thing is awkward. I have tried rolling the bar onto my fingertips. I thought I was going break my wrist. Lol. I can squat and get up. the push above in a fluid motion was a laugh and a half. I am hopeful I have gained some strength from stage 3 so it won't be so difficult. Hope you are feeling better and enjoy…

  • Wow!! Congrats on your big achievement:flowerforyou:
  • I am heading out of town to Houston (never been there and looking forward to going). I will be starting stage 4 when I return on Sunday. I never really mastered the push press form and am dreading it. Is there anyone who can give me some tips on that? I don't know if I can do 2 minutes of planks but I hate the prone cobra…
