Sounds like you are building a lot of muscle. If you are you will have to go more by how you look than by how you weigh. A person with good muscle tone can be the same size at 140 as someone at 120 without. I saw some pictures of women on the internat that you would think were fat by theur weight but they looked awesome.

The way I understand it, and I'm no pro, is that the change in your hormones is what effects your ability to loose weight. Or more accurately encourages you to gain weight mainly around the belly. Regulating your hormones can aid in this.

It's best to see your doctor and have your hormones tested. If you can control your hormones the weight loss will be easier.

Anything with carbs can be addictive. The more you eat it the more you want it. It is a viscous cycle. If you can the best thing to do is cut your danger foods out completely. Setting aside the fact that I have a set of reading glasses in every room, the daily plucking of the chin hairs and the weight gain that sticks to you like glue, and oh the mood swings, 40's are Fabulous. This has been the best time in my life. My happiest time.

Agreed. Don't be so sensitive. You may see it as criticism and they might see it as caring about you and wanting to be helpful. I have gotten great suggestions of alternatives to what I am eating and appreciate it. If you are to sensitive, close your diary.
