  • THIS!! I'm determined not to cave and buy something bad while I'm out at the store later. I have the worst impulse-junk-buying habit EVER.
  • Weekends are hard, because my husband likes to snack. So I just give myself a limit - I can have ONE cookie with him at night, or ONE really bad meal over the course of the weekend. I still cheat, but I cheat with a limit, you know? I never just let myself go and drink a bunch of soda and eat bacon all weekend, lol.
  • Hahah! I agree! And mine really DOES lie! The scale at the doctor's office and gym read 145, and mine says 141. :( I get so excited every time I step on, and then I have to remind myself there's a 4lb difference. :(
  • My husband's grandmother is still alive. And active. And healthy. And FIT. In my family, no one has ever lived past 65, and that's the sad truth. I am determined NOT to let that trend continue. My parents are both in their mid 50's, and both are well on their way to following the family trend. I just won't do it. I'm…
  • I believe, to a degree. Or at least, there are some experiences I've had that make me believe. The most distinct was in an old house in Jersey we lived in for a few years. The whole family was in the dining room, and I was in my bedroom, stuck in bed after a double-leg surgery. My brother and I had, for years and years,…
  • "Oh, I had a baby, my body can NEVER be the same, ever! Now I'm just stuck with this belly fat and big arms!" Yeah. No. Not buying that anymore. No more excuses!
  • I'm still undecided on MoP. On one hand, Asian theme REALLY excites me. On the other hand, talent changes really... don't. Again. I quit playing for a while, came back, was pretty bored, and now I'm not sure if I want to cancel again or try MoP. My main issue, of course, is that with an almost-3-year-old, a husband, and…
  • Oooh, add me too. I need someone poking me about completing my food logs, lol. I get to the end of the day and go ehhhh... close enough. I have 2lbs to lose this next month at least, and a goal of 7 by the end of October, 10 by Christmas. Eek! Add me and we can help each other!
  • :) My husband is currently a recruiter for the Army here in NJ, and I can tell you he comes home all the time with stories about how he told someone months ago they needed to lose X amount of pounds, and they just came in having lost it. He's always very impressed with them, because it shows a dedication to the job. As a…
  • :) Please feel free to add me - I've got Hypothyroidism and am on 250mcg >_< I'm supposed to be seeing an endo, but my insurance is being a pain about the referral. Which reminds me - what does an Endo DO? Anyone mind enlightening me as to what they do besides dole out my meds? Cause this insurance thing seems like a lot…
  • I read - it was possibly on here, since I rarely go anywhere else - that as long as it's before breakfast and after you use the restroom - no drinking water or anything - it'll be as accurate as it can be. Just remember - as women, our bodies change a bit depending on time of the month!
  • :D Go shopping together - you look like you'd be fun to hang out with. :P
  • >:( My pet peeve are those people who HAVE to stretch out RIGHT NEXT TO THE HEAVY BAG. There's a whole huge mat for you folks - leave me some room to do a few kicks and punches! Also, the guy who likes to come over and tell me I look "adorable" when I'm all sweaty and working out. I hate you, sir!
  • I started it! ...And then got tendinitis right when I hit the 15-minutes-straight-running mark. Sigh. So depressing. My doctor says I may not be someone who can run, which makes me sad. I've never been able to run before, and I was really loving how strong and fit the change made me feel.
  • That's ok. There are people out there who may very well say I have no soul.
  • Ride with you in the stolen corvette ;)
  • http://i.imgur.com/QBo88.gif I fail at finding the right code >_>
  • I'm having the same problem, hah! What I did was make room in my diet and plan to eat some of the bad stuff I love, like ice cream and oatmeal cookies. I had to give up a few things to do it, but if I know I'm going to eat it later, the temptation to eat it all day is much less.
  • I *adore* peach tea. Like, absolutely love it, especially chilled in the summer - yum! Just don't get the pre-made kind - that stuff is so bad for you! lol
  • I tend to have a glass of water before I eat, and another after. I can't drink during a meal - I'm one of those people who eats one food on her plate at a time, and I never remember to take sips in the middle. :P
  • I know it sounds weird, but my sister developed an allergy to apples when she was 25, so it does happen. If it's a full allergy, you need to watch many of the foods you buy - there are so many that have apples hidden in them that you may not realize, drinks especially.
  • :) I'd love to share your journey with you. I'm aiming for 10 lbs first, then if that works, going for another 10. The goal is to be the best me I can be by the end of the year - losing all that gosh dang baby-and-laziness fat! - so I know that I, for one, need all the support I can get!
  • :D Welcome aboard! I'm new too, hoping this place keeps me focused. Feel free to add me if you want some more support! (We Mommies gotta stick together, right?)
  • I have two... well, sort of two. You'll see. First, the obvious one is on my left food down the side. See, I was going to school one dark morning, and was half asleep, and missed the bottom step... and shattered a bone in my foot. From missing ONE step! Sheesh! So they had to do surgery and put in a pin to make it heal…
  • I'm told it really doesn't matter, but I find running with food in my stomach makes me feel sick. :( I generally have something light - like a glass of milk or a protein shake before going out, then eat a light meal when I get back.
  • Every block is a different size, so it's hard to know for sure. :) If you really want to track distance, I'd go to just about any store and buy a pedometer, which tracks your steps and tells you how far you ran and how much time it took to do it. Just remember - when you start, the key is to go SLOW! You need to build the…
  • I actually prefer standard, because the digital is touchy about where and how you stand on it. I actually played with mine once, and moving half an inch to the side altered my weight! But then, I may also just have a really cheap scale. :P So now I use the traditional one at the gym. :)
  • I'm new too, and I'd love to be a support for you. :) Feel free to add me - gosh knows I can use all the support I can get too!
  • Name: Jenn Age: 25 Female RP? A little here and there, but not in a while. LARP? No, but I want to! What are your weightloss goals?! "Just" (as if it's ever really a JUST) 11 lbs... for starters. My ideal weight (before giving birth) was 122, but I really don't think i'm ever going to be there again - it would be an…
  • :D Yay for gamer girls! I played WoW for something like five years, before I had my little girl and lost the energy to be up all night raiding. ;) Now I'm into Rift... until GW2 comes out. I may actually start raiding again when I get to that point - who can resist the call of a no-subscription MMO? lol :) Good luck with…
