Great to learn about the options out there...I'll have to check into those at Walgreens and Trader Joes. But, to save money I am using the Walmart equivalent to Flintstones Children's Chewable Multi with iron, twice a day. Also take D-3 5000 IU, B-12 250 Mcg sublig, Vitamin C 500 mg, Calcium Citrate Petite 2 tabs per day…

...like they think I am some big ugly chubby fish used for bait. Sticks and stones as they say. I've been called worse things related to my size all my life. That was just a new one on me. This person is not a friend, certainly doesn't know me or about my loss...they purely judged me on what i look like now. They didn't…

I took three weeks off. I had short term disability benefits so that helped. I think having time after surgery to get into the "groove" of my new life was important. With the special dietary plans to follow and the rest I needed I think having three weeks off was just right for me.

Thanks for saying that...I think it is something we all need to hear and keep hearing often.

I've been advised a minimum of 64 oz up to half your weight in ounces. For me that would be over 100 ounces and I don't think I can make it there without living in the bathroom part time! I shoot for the 64 ounces minimum and even that is hard for me to accomplish. But I keep trying.

...so for me, both of these cereals are not good choices.

I try to follow the 10/10 rule, a good choice for me is a food that has less than 10g of fat and less than 10g of sugar per serving. If it has more than that I tend to not buy it. Next I look at the saturated Fat, if it has more than 3g of saturated fat I also don't buy it. This simple rule helps me weed out bad choices…

frustratedly....cool word! Plus, I'm rather surprised there are not more replies here.

Sending up the fireworks to celebrate.

Gay as a nail. Wait, that sounds wrong. Curious about straight...not really, been there done that. Still confused too. 24 years, but not married yet.

Amazing work....you inspire me.

The Soft Rock channel from Las Vegas on the I Heart Radio app....wonderful station. Helps me though the workday and it's free.

I've had it rough with this. I am always trying to drink more water. I take an OTC stool softener every day. I use the generic Miralax when I feel I need to, usually a couple days or so in a row, then things are back to "normal". For me it is a "dryness" thing, and it is tough to understand with the volume of fluids I…

Thanks Rob, you are and always have been a true inspiration to me. I'm honored to call you my friend. As I always seem to say...lets keep going.

Better'n Peanut Butter, Low Sodium, small jars about five bucks.

I love PB. I like PB2 but often don't have time to make it in the morning. After making it they recommend keeping it in the fridge. Sometimes I make it ahead of time. I've also discovered "Better'n Peanut Butter" Low Sodium at Trader Joe's. About $5 for a little jar and it does taste OK...a lot less calories and less…

Well, here is mine. I need to take some better pictures but I think you'll get the idea! -David

With my history of kidney stones my doctor wants me to have a goal of 1500 mg. Very hard to achieve but I keep trying. I use Mrs. Dash on everything I need to add spice to...the Extra Hot version is really quite good. Try them all, there are many varieties of Mrs. Dash.

My eyes too seem to be bigger than my new tummy size. I get this idea in my head that I am so hungry I could eat the volume I used to eat...but I know I can't. I've figured out what I need to do is decide on my portion at the beginning of the meal and just stop when it's gone. I get a box to take the rest home...like a…

If you seriously think your clinic is only after the insurance money I would be looking for a different clinic....as soon as possible. Then, look for this book at your library: The Expert's Guide to Weight-Loss Surgery: Is it right for me? What happens during surgery? How do I keep the weight off? Authors: Garth Davis,…

My clinic's goal is 1000 but I often go over that...1500 is more reasonable I think. I'm nine months out, past the goal they set for me but I want to lose more. To do this I know I will need to get down to 1000 again. I am trying hard to ramp up my exercise and overall activity and get off the couch! I am considering…

I recently visited Trader Joe's. They have a half caff coffee beans in a can that you can grind at the store. $5.99 for 12 oz. The coffee tastes pretty good but not any better than the Folgers I mentioned above.

Wheat Thins Fiber Selects. A small snack size bag with 8-15 crackers which I consume one at a time. They taste good, have a nice crunch and I get the fiber benefit as well. Otherwise its the 80 calorie greek yogurt container Dannon Light and Fit, or 1/2 of a Premier Protein vanilla shake.

Sometimes I think I am so hungry but I am actually really thirsty. I'm trying to hit the water bottle instead of food. So hard not to want to snack in-between meals sometimes...but WE CAN DO THIS !

I've even thought of going back to the original two week liquid diet, and then start the diet progression all over again....sometimes the freedom to eat "normal food" is too easy to abuse with bad choices and bad serving sizes. I think I do better with structure...having something I have to follow. I can do it and it keeps…

I drink Folgers Half Caff coffee. I can't tell the difference in terms of the taste. My Doctor approved this version of coffee for me. I would check with you Doctor first but you might want to try this if you haven't already. I use a sugar free french vanilla dry creamer from Walmart. Grocery shopping recently I noticed…

I have a Giant comfort bike. The Cypress model. It was not real expensive and is an "upright" bike....I enjoy riding it very much. Like others have said here...go to a big time bike shop after reading their on-line reviews...they will help you choose the right bike for your needs. Take good care of it and it will last you…

Hi... Posting here again since I just noticed I have not updated my "story" since July of 2012. I'm still here on MFP but since then I have lost 97 pounds. (so far) Please feel free to read my profile to learn more....then please send me a friend request. where were you born? Iron Mountain, Michigan where do you live at…

I take a chewable children's vitamin twice a day....the Walmart version. I am required to take one that contains IRON. Surprisingly it is hard to find a multi vitamin that has iron. In addition to that I take a vitamin C, a B12 sublingual and a vitamin D. My labs indicate this is working for me and gets me into the range I…

Since I have a history of kidney stones my doctor has asked me to limit my intake to less than 1500 mg per day. That goal is really hard to achieve. That dang stuff is in everything it seems! I trust the Mayo website for my health information, or medlineplus.gov
