  • I tend to read Men's Fitness. Didn't care for Men's Health when the focus seems to be for str8 guys...lots of eye candy there for them...and articles about sexual health that assume everyone is str8. Got tired of that...but if you like it, good for you. I enjoy Cooking Light but don't subscribe....which helps with the diet…
  • I'll be three years out in May 2017. I've gained back nearly 20 and I am not happy about it. Still manage to wear the same lowest sized jeans so it is not terrible. I think when I got down to my lowest I was not at all happy about how my body looked...my skin looked old and wrinkled and my face looked drawn. Kinda maybe…
  • I'd head to your primary care doctor for a visit and a range of standard blood tests. From there I would seek a Registered Dietician at your local near by hospital that has a Wellness program. Find out what is covered under your insurance, you might visit a bariatric clinic for a first visit appointment or introductory…
  • I confess. I didn't go to the gym last night because I can't stand being around all the people who go back to the gym in January.
  • I'l add peanut butter....one of my favorite foods!
  • Pentatonix Christmas via Amazon Prime Music......unlimited streaming via Sprint unlimited data!
  • I use the Walmart brand generic Flintstones children's chewable multi vitamins. They also contain the necessary iron. Not sure why you don't want the chewable ones. These cost about $8 for 150, I take two a day.
  • To me it sounds like you need to return to your clinic for support...and don't wait to do it. If your clinic cannot support you with these issues you need to find a better clinic. I would say as soon as you get 20 pounds past your goal weight established before surgery take it as a signal that you need professional help.…
  • I could not LIVE without peanut butter. I spread it very thin and there is no way I use a full serving at one time. I find the Smucker's Natural or even the low sodium version of peanut butter sold at Trader Joe's to be wonderful. I have used PB2 and it is great with less calories but I get lazy and don't want to mix up my…
  • I recently shaved mine off. It came in full and fine...but white and gray. Someone told me it made me look ten years older. Then someone told me that guys grow beards to cover up their flaws....never heard that one, they wanted me to know I didn't have any flaws that needed to be covered up! (gee, thanks) Then someone at…
  • I'm working on 1200....3 meals a day, about 400 calories each. Not much wiggle room. I am a bariatric patient, I had the gastric sleeve procedure two years ago.
  • Does anyone here have the Live Feed? Is it worth it?
  • Coming up on 26 years together in October here. I met him in a gay bar....go figure. To top it off...he was a male dancer there. How did I manage to luck out. Strange but true.
  • I was going to say that you would think after all the seasons of BB that these people would know how to play the game better each year....by learning from the mistakes of others. Apparently not. Some run at the mouth and are way too open to the other players...and so trusting, don't they know better by now...frustrating to…
  • I missed the nomination ceremony. I need to get the All Access thing but don't really want to....summer is too busy. I was thinking of giving up my Sling TV subscription and changing to All Access for the summer. I pay for Sling TV and don't watch it that much, because I don't have cable because I cannot justify the…
  • The first night did have the usual intros but they also had a competition and one houseguest of the group of four houseguests are already going to be evicted...tonight. Recording it is the way to go so you can skip all the figgin' commercials. Yeah, we had the weather interruption too but it only lasted a couple minutes…
  • Since I "gave up" ice cream at this time of night I have switched to sugar free popsicles. Discovered they have amazing tropical flavors too. It's still frozen or cold and tastes great...like my old buddy ice cream.
  • My NSV is that I got back from vacation and got on the scale and maintained while I was gone. I went camping and had a few s'mores around the campfire. But I tried to ramp up my exercise to offset that stuff.
  • So proud to call you my friend here. I am in exactly the same boat my friend. Keeping it positive and waking up every day working at "doing it" better than yesterday. You continue to inspire me in case you didn't know. Thank you.

  • I wasn't prepared for the loose skin deal after my weight loss surgery. I've been maintaining for going on two years now. I've been working out more and trying hard to increase my muscle mass. I do feel weak often. I ramp up the protein and try hard to eat a balanced diet. What I don't like is the wrinkles associated with…
  • There is a magazine called Clean Eating that is a pretty good publication. Google it. There you will find all you every wanted to know about this topic. Good luck.
  • I'm still not comfortable with my loose skin, I try hard to get over it. The mirror is not kind. I don't think I am at the personal goal I have set for myself. I have some major wrinkles where I used to have major pads of fat...wasn't exactly prepared to have to see that but I guess it is a sign of progress. I don't think…
  • Take things slow and one meal at a time....follow your discharge instructions to the letter and you'll have success! Good going.
  • I hear that. If you're anything like me we need to approach things one meal at a time. And get to the gym at least three times a week.
  • Thanks everyone who replied here so far....some great ideas too! I know I need to try to freeze some things that are close to my desired nutritional values...never thought of freezing a protein shake or freezing actual yogurt of my choosing....I eat a whole lot of greek yogurt now and I think it would be a good idea to try…
  • LBM ? too many abbreviations in this article for the beginner.
  • I make oatmeal in my small rice cooker on weekends. I add dried cranberries, real butter and cinnamon plus a touch of honey. On a cold morning it tastes great. I also want to try adding some PB2 dried peanut butter to jazz it up.
