  • That's the beauty of the sub boards. They can be general and not fitness related. If people don't like it, they can stick to the other more relevant boards. :drinker:
  • This is me. They have been increasing in a 50 mile radius of me but they're generally uncommon here. But still, the idea freaks me out.
  • I was about to say "if you're not sure, then don't wear it" but then I looked at the link. I think it's super cute and definitely you can wear it to a wedding.
  • Bump. This sounds amazing!
  • I'm currently a 14/16 pant and can shop pretty much anywhere. My favorite stores for pants are Fashion Bug and JC Penney. I'm bummed that Fashion Bug is closing. However, I did just buy two pairs of LEIs from WalMart that I love. I was surprised they had that brand. For shirts, I pretty much shop at JC Penney. I can't…
  • As long as you're netting enough calories for the day, it doesn't matter when you eat them. :)
  • If it fits into your calorie allowance and isn't a daily treat, go for it! You have to treat yourself once in a while or you're not going to want to stick with what you're doing.
  • I prefer mine fried or hard boiled. I like scrambled, too, but if I have a choice I'll have them one of the other two ways. I LOVE my hubby's fried eggs. Mine just don't taste the same.
  • One thing I heard that I like a lot is "If you can't tell whether or not you're hungry, chances are you're not." However, I do like the idea of fasting for a day to know what hunger feels like and start again from there. That's a neat idea.
  • I'm one of those who brings in the goodies to work. :embarassed: lol! Just today I brought in some leftover Reese's Cheesecake Brownies... But I'm the same way. I can stay away from my own treats that I bring in but if someone else brings something, I have to have at least a tiny taste. I agree with those who suggest…
  • Yep, this is pretty much me. I'd really rather lose some weight before venturing outside. I hate hate hate working out in front of people, even my fiance, so the idea of someone being able to see/watch me out their window or as they drive by causes me a little anxiety. I did manage 2 weeks of C25K outside in the early…
  • Left ankle - pink and blue crescent moon - because I love all things celestial. Right ankle - two linked hearts - my best friend and I got this together, I'm really not sure why, I don't regret it and often forget we have matching tattoos. Left shoulder blade - Heart with name banner with my dogs nickname in it, it also…
  • I feel the same way! Many days I feel like I look great! But then I see pictures of myself and wonder what the heck I could have possibly been thinking. I'm 5'1" and 171.2lbs. I feel like the only way I'll stay motivated is if someone tells me I'm fat. I must say, you carry your weight better than I do. You don't look…
  • My dad sells Herbalife. He uses/used it and lost quite a bit of weight. I don't know if he still uses herbalife like he was but he has managed to keep the weight off. I do know he also watches what he eats now, he doesn't eat as many sweets or as much junk food, he tries to stick with lean meats. I've sampled some of the…
  • I just looked at your food diary and it looks like you ARE eating back a good chunk of your calories. The only real issue that I see with your eating habits is that you do still eat junk, like the hostess snacks, even though it is in moderation and within your calories. Maybe that is contributing? Have you taken your…
  • Congratulations on your engagement! I get married in 10 days!! It's so close. We are having an open bar ONLY because my mom is adamant about having one and is paying for it. My fiance and I don't really want any alcohol at our wedding but that's simply because there are too many alcoholics in my family and I'd rather not…
  • You look great! Awesome job! Congrats on the upcoming wedding, I get married in 12 days!! I'm kicking myself for not taking my weight loss seriously in the months before the wedding where it would make an actual difference. Right now I'm trying to tone a bit and I'll start trying to lose more after the wedding. Keep up the…
  • I just finished level 1, day 5. I've tried it before but ended up injuring myself both times, both because of the push ups and injuring my shoulder. So this time, I decided I'm going to start out by doing the push ups against a wall and work my way down to the floor. It seems to be working so far, I have made it farther…
  • Great work! Keep it up! I just finished day 5 of 30DS. I can tell a difference in my endurance and have lost about an inch and a half total already but no weight yet. It's inches I care the most about, anyway. lol
  • My brother eats his loaded with pepper. I find that's pretty much the only way I can get past the taste and texture, too, but I can't put as much pepper on it as he does or I wouldn't be able to breath. If you can't find a way to eat it so you actually like it, don't eat it as it isn't worth it and look for another option.…
  • Martin - My grumpy old man. He's between 7 and 9 and is a rescue. Lass - Short for Lucky AS **** - She's another rescue and isn't quite a year yet. We were early at the vet's so I let her out of her carrier. Nelson - I've had him the longest, adopted him from a foster home when he was 12 weeks. He is Satan's Spawn, but I…
  • Pretty much exactly what you said. I love the crispness of the air, the over-sized comfy sweaters, being able to bake and cook to my hearts content and not send me running from the heat of the house... And there's something about the first batch of chili for the season that's just delicious and relaxing.
  • This is really neat! My only problem with this is that I'm really bad at estimating sizes, distances, ages, etc. lol! But definitely anything grilled is better than fried. I typically go for a piece of grilled chicken with a side salad and dressing on the side.
  • I hate working out in front of people, too. Including my fiance. I have found that what works best for me is DVDs that I can do at home. My fiance and I will walk the dogs together, but my main workouts include Turbo Jam, Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred or Brazil Butt Lift. They require little equipment and are fun and…
  • Hey, girly! We're the same height!! I agree with the wait and see. Right now, I'm shooting for 140. If I recall, it's either at the highest BMI range for my height and age or slightly over. It really all depends. Make sure you take measurements, too. You may tone up and look absolutely great and thin at 150, you just never…
  • I'm 23, 5'1" and want to lose 35-40lbs by Christmas. :)
  • Well..... my biological father is currently married to one of his brother's exes, but I don't think the brother and her were ever married, I think they were just dating, though they do have several children together. Sooo....now my cousin is also my step-brother? WTF? I'm not very close with that side of my family so I'm…
  • I tend to limit myself in the fact that I don't eat my favorite things as often as I used to. For the most part, I eat great all week long. On the weekends, I give myself some slack but still try to be good and within my calorie goals unless it's a really really special occasion. I love food. I want to try a low carb diet…
