That's another option for the Herbalife, Advocare and Shakeology companies. You can find a distributor and request a sample of each shakes from each company. Most of them will happily send one for free.

My dad sells Herbalife, I sell Advocare and several friends sell Beachbody Shakeology. In my opinion, the best tasting is Shakeology. I use Herbalife because my dad gives it to me for free...can't beat free.

I loved the C25K app by Zen Labs. After my 5k I downloaded their Couch to 10K app. The first 8 weeks are exactly the same as the 5k app so just start on week 9 of the new trainer app. Or find a half marathon training app.

Peaches and Cream is infinitely better than Citrus! If mixing it with applesauce helps you, go for it! Or, if you have the citrus, try it with orange juice instead of water.

I haven't tried the protein shakes but I have tried the regular shakes. IMO they taste decent but when I replaced breakfast with them for 4 days in a row I started getting migraines. The only thing I've been able to attribute it to is the aspartame. Other sweeteners like sucralose don't bother me at all, so just be careful…

In order to reduce fat you have to eat at a calorie deficit. Unfortunately, you can't pick and choose where the fat comes from and the "pooch" is typically the last to go. I think you're confusing BMR with TDEE. BMR is essentially what a hospital would give you as your bare minimum if you were in a coma. TDEE is your total daily energy expenditure which is the total calories you burn in a day. It's obviously more than your BMR because you're up and moving around and not just lying there.
