  • Trumped. :drinker:  :flowerforyou:
  • I place them in a pot of cool water with about an inch of water above the top of the eggs. I bring it to a rolling boil, uncovered. Cover it, remove it from the heat and let it sit for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes I run cool water over them to stop the cooking process. They've always turned out perfect.
  • You've got some great ideas. One thing to consider, though, which may not even apply to you. Are your teeth at all sensitive? If so, whitening them will make it worse. I've gone to the dentist multiple times sure I've got a cavity somewhere but it's really just my teeth being sensitive. If that's a non-issue - go for it!
  • I carry a little 10oz water bottle with me while I run. Not because I need it to hydrate but just because it's more comfortable for me if I keep my throat a bit wet and swallowing doesn't always cut it. If you can't hold a conversation while running, you're running too fast and need to slow down.
  • On the flip side, I keep one of my friends because they're a train wreck. I try to be supportive and push them to do better but I honestly keep them around because I can't help but laugh at some of their posts. I feel like an awful person for it but you can only give so much support and advice, especially when none of it…
  • Definitely not where I thought this post was going. A-freaking-men, sister. Well put!
  • Before and during. Still a work in progress. I'm 5'1" and 25 years old. In the first picture I'm about 164lbs and in the second I'm about 158lbs. Goes to show you that on a small frame, 6lbs makes a huge difference.
  • Megalobacon Doesn't exactly fit but epic nonetheless.
  • I believe the only "catch" is that it's a 12 month commitment. If you don't want to be committed for 12 months, it's like $15 per month instead. Still totally reasonable. I go to Planet Fitness and haven't had any issues. Their free weights/dumbbells only go up to a certain weight (say 80lbs, I don't remember what it…
  • In everything. I like making banana pancakes. 1 ripe banana, mashed (heat it in the microwave to make it easier to mash) 2 eggs PB2 (amount to your liking, I use 1 Tablespoon) Mix together and cook like normal pancakes.
  • I'm 5'1" and my current goal weight is 130-135. I am currently 158. Once I get closer to my goal, I'll re evaluate whether I'm happy with my body or want to lose more. I'm more concerned with how I look and feel, not a specific number, but having a goal weight at least gives me a reasonable goal before I start nit-picking…
  • You could try taking B Vitamins, I just search GNC quick, these gummy vitamins have both B-6 and B-12 and don't contain gluten, milk, eggs, etc. You can check the label yourself to make sure there's nothing else you can't have in them but they're like $10. Pretty reasonable.
  • I also suggest the C25K program. I also want to add that one of my friends just shared this with me the other day - she has been running for about two years and just now started to enjoy it. That's crazy to me. Two years doing something you don't enjoy, but doing it anyway because it's good for you. So just a little…
  • Congratulations! My first 5k time (July 2013) was about the same and just this past Saturday I ran a 5k in under 40 minutes! I'm so jealous you got a medal for a 5k!
  • Welcome to the forums! Thank you for your service and I wish you a quick recovery!
  • It could be a number of things, including not eating enough calories to having an intolerant reaction to one of the ingredients. Maybe have another 100-200 calorie snack before bed and see if that helps.
  • Contact customer service at 1-800-542-4800. You may be able to get a refund.
  • Most people probably won't even look at you while you're out running. And if they do, it's most likely with awe and pride that you're trying to better yourself. I don't care how big somebody is, if I see them outside running, or even walking, I think "Good for them!" You may get the occasional @$$ who makes a snide or rude…
  • I definitely think that you have some very high, almost unattainable goals in a short time. For example, if you injure yourself, you're S.O.L on your time frame. Do you know what your running pace is? Mine is super slow. It takes me an hour and a half just to run 6 miles right now. I definitely don't want to be running for…
  • This is an awesomely disgusting idea. Share pictures if you ever do!
  • I'm starting Advocare's 24 Day Challenge on Sunday which is pretty similar. Definitely get a digital kitchen scale. You can get them for like $20-25 at WalMart. It's a huge help, especially when some serving sizes give you a weight instead of cup measurement. Feel free to add me for recipe/meal ideas!
  • It definitely tastes awful but it will make you feel great!
  • You finished, didn't you? Good job for that.
  • How tall are you and did you take before pictures? I only lost 5lbs during my first challenge and was so discouraged because you always hear about people losing 10+ lbs and everything. BUT when I compared my before and after pictures side by side (my profile pic) there is a HUGE difference. The scale, and even…
  • I could've written this, too. I know what I should be doing and make plans I guess I just lack the motivation to actually stick with it. It's not that I'm not ready, it's that I need to consciously work harder and better at sticking to the plans I create. Does my not sticking with it mean I don't want it bad enough? I…
  • Following with some popcorn. I also recommend a trainer. I know that gym memberships and personal trainers can be expensive but they're definitely worth the money until you're a bit more educated and can do things on your own.
  • If there isn't much overlap in friends and you weren't invited to the wedding, there's really nothing to be upset about on either side. I could maybe see being a little upset if like half of the guest list or more would have to choose between your two events, because then that would be stressful on the guests deciding…
  • I've only ever tried it with water. Even then it's the best tasting meal replacement shake I've ever tried.
  • I blogged about my first challenge back in January so you can check out what I ate and what recipes I used at http://myparadise8-11-12.blogspot.com/ Also, Advocare has a thumblr with great recipes! http://webuildchampions.tumblr.com/tagged/recipe I have another 24 Day Challenge recipe book in pdf that I can send you if you…
