Welcome! I think I actually eat more than my husband. We've been married 2.5 years and I'll be 25 in June. I've lost almost 20lbs so far and am looking for 20-30 more. Feel free to add me! I'm currently training for my first 10K that I plan to run in May. I've always been bigger/overweight and not athletic in the…

It's nice to have someone there before and after a race but during the race I think it's important for people to go at their own pace. If your pace is the same, why not stay together and motivate each other. If it's not, no big deal if someone has to run ahead.
-
I think it really depends how long you stop for. If it's only once for like 30 seconds, I'd count it as complete, but if it's multiple stops and for more than 30 seconds, I'd redo it.

But that doesn't mean she shouldn't become a coach for the discount if she isn't required to sell a certain amount.

I would find out whether there are any sales requirements. Can you be a Coach for the discount and not have to worry about meeting any quotas? If yes, then go for it. If you end up selling stuff, great. If not, that's fine too. I'm an Advocare distributor for the discount, we aren't required to meet any sales quotas or…

Definitely not where I thought that picture was going. Gosh I love pizza.

You may not be counting the actual calories that are in what you're eating but it's very obviously still portion control. I think the containers are silly.

Different strokes for different folks. Some things work for one person but not others. I had no issues taking the pills. Nothing I took on the challenge made me feel sick at all. I felt great. I actually wish I were still on it. Something about the "challenge" and the money spent helped keep me motivated and helped my will…

When I was growing my hair out for my wedding, I was taking biotin. It worked great.

Congrats! I'm training for my first 10K and though I've run a 5k without walking, I had a decent amount of time between that and when I started training for the 10 k. I'm supposed to run 20 minutes (2 miles) straight tonight. The idea is daunting even though I've done it before.

I'm not sure I'm ever going to get to the point where I'd want to do a Bikini Competition, mainly because I don't think I have the right personality type, but I follow quite a few on instagram. Jessie Deye has an ebook for beginngers: "Want to learn more about competing? Don't know where to start? Here is your 'everything'…

Meh. Planet Fitness is cheap and meets my current needs.
-
I'm doing it because I'm finally starting to get a bit girly and want a cuter wardrobe and to feel comfortable in those cuter clothes. Also because I'm larger in the waist and smaller in the chest so buying bras is a pain in the *kitten*. I'm only an a cup but need about a 36-37" band and that is super hard to find.

I'm not denying that it tasted good. She made chicken fingers for the super bowl that way. But it doesn't sound "healthy" to me and she thinks it's fine.

Ugh. My mom swears by this low carb diet. It's called "The 3-Day Diet" You eat very specific things for 3 days and the other 4 days of the week you go back to eating normal, without overdoing it. She and my stepdad did it in order for him to lose the weight he needed to qualify for knee replacement. They did it. He lost…

I haven't used a PT but I think it's a great idea. They'll be able to help you design a workout routine and nutrition plan to help you meet your personal goals. I also like the idea of a workout partner. Workout partner will obviously be cheaper than the PT, but the PT will be able to improve your form, etc.

Brilliant. :flowerforyou: :drinker:

Welcome! I am 5'1", currently hovering around 160 and started at 176. My biggest tips are to take your measurements and progress pictures. I lost 6lbs between the two pictures in my profile picture and was so discouraged because it didn't sound like a lot and neither did the 5.25 inches I'd lost. The picture is worth 1,000…

They may offer some kind of reduced fee if you meet certain criteria or a payment plan. That's something you can at least look into while you try doing it without the professional help.

When I started C25K last year, I had the same problem. I would get shin splints every time I ran even though I thought I was running slow enough. It wasn't until a few months later when I ran with a friend that I realized I was still running too fast. You're supposed to be able to hold a comfortable conversation while…

I think I have something similar pinned on Pinterest. I really need to make these. Maybe I'll make them for my work lunches some week soon!

Honestly, for my cleanse breakfast I counted my fruit as my complex carb. I ate two hard boiled eggs (whole eggs, not just egg whites), and a banana for breakfast. I'd stick to the guide as closely as possible. Especially if you like oatmeal or make a big batch of something with beans or quinoa and eat that for breakfast.…

I'm training for my first 10K! I'm planning to run one May 18th. I did C25K last summer and ran two 5Ks last year. I started C210K in January because it had been a few months since the last time I ran. I'm currently on week 6.

If thinking they all look amazing is wrong, I don't want to be right.
-
I assume you are referring to bikini competitions? I have no personal experience because I'm not there and don't think I'll ever get to that point, but I follow Jessie Deye on Instagram. She is hilarious. She also has an e-book that she says is "an everything guide to get you started!"…

To my knowledge, the Force is water resistant as well. I have the Flex and purchased it in August 2013. I debated with myself whether I should wait until Christmas and ask for a fitbit then and I definitely should have. If I had, I would have asked for the Force, not the Flex, but at the time I didn't know the Force was…

I love it! Like another poster said, it does make your urine smell funny but it's just odd, not bad. I toss mine with a little olive oil, salt, pepper, minced garlic and lemon juice and bake it until the edges get crispy. Yum!

I write left-handed, and therefore eat left-handed but I do practically everything else with my right hand. It was quite problematic in high school gym class because I both throw and catch with my right hand. I solved that tiny issue based on the fact that I can catch better left-handed than I can throw left-handed.…
