Definitely knew by my clothes and the development of rolls on my back. Kept telling myself I’d get serious tomorrow. Finally weighed myself and it was the highest ever. Lost all desire to eat poorly, drink alcohol or wait another day to hit the gym or run. Here I am.

You didn't put it on overnight, it won't disappear overnight. Slow and steady wins the weight loss battle. Fast and hasty leaves you doomed to re-gain it and then some.

Cut all the sugar out of your life for two weeks. This allows your palette to change. Be mindful that there is sugar in a lot of things that don't seem sugary such as salad dressings and such. Go clean and reset your palette.

When I hit that late night boredom hunger, I get a glass of water and look at success stories online. The cravings disappear faster.

I like getting the shrimp cocktail and count out the number of tortilla chips i can have and put them on the plate in front of me. When the plate is empty, I'm done with chips and just wait for my shrimp cocktail. I find the hardest part of getting mexican to be not order/going easy on the margaritas.

Thanks everyone! I could push a little hard to eat better. This was what I needed to get my but in motion to watch those calories a little closer. Plus I got a "hey you look skinnier!" So, it's working just got to get my head back in the game more fully.

I started lifting this week to break the plateau because I figured what was already said. My body is used to my old routine so I need to change it up a bit. Quick gains like that aren't fat, it's water. You probably upped your sodium intake through processed snacks and carbonated drinks. Stay calm, drink more water and you'll be back down as fast as you went up.

I think making mistakes is part of it. I have stopped feeling like the weight needs to come off right now and focused on better habits and feeling better. When the scale drops great, but this is going to be a life of balance forever and making sure 20 pounds comes off in a certain amount of time isn't a long germ goal.…

Small things like sauting veggies in olive oil instead of steaming them would help. Add a shake to your routine maybe! I find that planning the whole day out can help. If you start in the morning and log it all and then see it's not going to be enough then add a side to your lunch or throw an extra egg in your omlette if…

I do Calishthenics including push ups and sit ups virgorous effort when I do Insanity. I have never finished it because I always end up hurting myself because of how high impact it is. I will pick a DVD and do it randomly when I need a fast tough work out. Be careful, take care of your knees and back and good luck!

Maybe if your physical fitness is that poor to start you should try just walking for a while. Sounds like insanity is too much. Stopping it as much as you are is not doing you any favors and is defeating the point of the DVD.

I think that eating all the crazy food America has to offer in moderation can help one lose weight. It keeps us sane and not from going nuts because we are living off of salad, quinoa and almonds. It's sustainable and moderation in my opinion is the key to success.

I aim for 1200 a day and only eat more when I'm hungry. I find it to be pretty sustainable. The best part is if you stick with it for a while, when you do get super hungry and want to eat a lot, your stomach probably shrunk and you can't.
