Need help with binging after dinner

I plan everything I eat during the day the night before. Up until dinner I do great. I saved room in my day to have a serving of my mom's delicious apple crisp. The next thing I know I am getting a fourth serving! Then I say "whatever" and end up eating a meatball sub. I started out my diet doing so well and lost 15 pounds (I am not an overweight person to begin with, so I didn't want to lose much weight in the first place). Now everyday for the past week has ended this way. And actually today is the best I've done all week. A few days ago I managed to put down 3 (HUGE) pieces of pie , a quarter loaf of sourdough bread, 3 rice crispy treats, 6 cookies, and a huge Italian sandwich. I'm so close to my goal weight! Everyday I tell myself the next day will be better and then I do this again. Please tell me how you are able to not let this happen. And please don't say just don't eat anything past a certain time because it has proven itself to be a bit more complicated than that.

Eat an apple instead of apple crisp. Eat lighter meals during the day and a heavier meal at night. Eat your food very slowly so that your brain can catch up with your stomach. Decide you are not going to do this anymore, then stick with your decision.

    Maybe you're not eating enough?
how are you working out your calories/macros?
As the poster above mentioned, perhaps plan your meals differently.
Have you heard of intermittent fasting? It might work for you.
In my case, I normally work out in the morning, and don't eat anything until around noon, and my last meal of the day is at 8pm. That gives you 8 hours to fit in all your calories, which will make you seem fuller by the end of the day..
It's difficult to start with, but your body will become accustomed.

Alternatively you can look for foods that will make you FEEL fuller. Apples are a good idea. Anything high in fiber or with high water contents.
Look for calorie free sodas, or low cal alternatives to pie..
Instead of binging AFTER dinner, include those food items as part of your dinner and decrease your lunch calories ..

I know that most people on this site promote the mindset of everything in moderation, but if you're this close to your goal and find that you manage well until you start to treat yourself, maybe just cut out the junk until you reach your goal? I find it a million times easier that way. Once I get the taste of something I just want more and more haha

So much of it is mental. You mention feeling like "whatever" after you've had the first serving of apple crisp. Stop there and switch your thinking: I don't have anymore calories for this, and so I will not have any more. Then: don't have anymore.

The other suggestions above are excellent. Keep pursuing your goals. You'll get there!

Agree with @noobletmcnugget. I have cut out all sweets because it's a slippery slope for me....I'd be fine without the pie but if I had some, I wouldn't be able to stop. I hope one day to be able to just have a TASTE of something without eating a TON but I know me, I can't at this point.

I often crave sweets after dinner. I've been drinking Celestial Seasonings Apple Cinnamon Spice tea instead. I normally don't care for tea but this is delicious and it is nice and sweet. Kills the cravings. Good luck!

When I hit that late night boredom hunger, I get a glass of water and look at success stories online. The cravings disappear faster.

I just mentally keep the kitchen closed 2 hrs before I go to bed...nothings happening in there, no fixing, no searching, no lookin in the frig...nada.
