So Calcium aggravates IBS-D symptoms? I was just advised to start Calcium for osteopenia, but I certainly don't need anything making my symptoms worse!

@ArtGeek - I love you (51).

Yes, I will eat as much pumpkin pie (and other goodies) as I want. I will log everything. I will not shout or pout...I will just go back to normal as soon as it is gone or I throw it out. Did the same thing at Thanksgiving and did no damage. I am trying to be good between now and then in addition to doing another round of…

Started here 6/3 and hit goal on 10/20 -- 20 lb. loss on 5'4" post-menopausal woman.

Height? 5'4" Starting weight? 148 Current weight? 124 Goal Weight? 125 How many calories you eat a day? Net = 1100 to 1200 during weight loss; 1400 to 1600 during maintenance (6 weeks in)

Thanks all!

Thanks gmichaelguy. I guess I can try it and see if it is recording anything close to appropriate. Don't want to wear a chest strap for a HRM so I am thinking this would be good for me to see how active (or not) I have been on specific days.

I have IBS-D and was on a bulking agent for two years until I joined WW last year, lost weight and realized with healthier eating I had almost no trouble. Being on MFP has been even better. Triggers for my are nuts or grapes in excess, chocolate, fried foots and basically anything with a skin or seed that irritates the…

Anyone? I really want to order one, but if it doesn't track my riding appropriately then it is not what I need. Don't want to wear the chest strap of a HRM...

I'm almost at goal, but working on upping calories and easing into maintenance. I am disappointed in my waist measurements and have some lose skin, plus I need to build more muscle to help maintenance, so I am in! My goal is 30DS and/or 6W6P at least three times a week in addition to my horseback riding. Eat more protein…

5'3 1/2" female, 51 years young and less than a pound from my goal of 125. Started at 144 on MFP, but had lost more than 5 pounds before that. I have kept my daily calorie goal at 1200-1250, but always have a few days a week that I go over and don't worry about it. My weekly net is always a deficit so I don't worry about…

I am a 51 year old post-hysterectomy/post-menopausal female. I started at 144.8 on MFP, but was just under 150 when I realized I needed to do something. My GW is 125 although now that I am hovering at 129-130 I am pretty happy and just want more tone and to burn off remaining fat and tighten loose skin. I am slowly upping…

I used WW to lose the same amount of weight last year, ended up skinny-fat and gained it all back. WW makes you count points (not calories) so you don't (or at least I didn't) pay attention to macros. With MFP, I have learned that to be successful for the long-haul I need to eat the right foods, in the right combination…

SW: 144.8 CW: 129.8 GW for end of Sept: 125 GW: 125 Weigh in Dates: 9/1 : 129.8 9/8 : 9/15 : 9/22 : 9/31 : 51 y/o post-menopausal female, 5'4" if anyone is looking for something with similar stats to follow!

You have lost 19 lbs. so you were doing something right!! A quick peek at your diary showed that you weren't tracking consistently or had gaps where you either didn't track or skipped a meal. Also, I would set your macros to show your sugar intake. It looks like you are eating a lot of sweet stuff and that dreaded high…

Keep working towards my GW of 125 (hovering at 129-130 right now), but slightly increase my calories along with my exercise to build muscle and set the stage for a successful maintenance. Finish 30DS (on Day 17, but I don't do it every day) and start 6W6P to continue replacing fat with muscle. Finish reading the NROLFW and…

I had my first gain this morning after three months of successful losing. I did experience a rather large 1.8 lb. loss last week and figure that "gaining" a half of pound this week isn't a huge deal in the overall scheme of things; however, this was the difference between 129.7 last week and 130.3 this week. I know either…

You look fabulous! No need for the "be kind" disclaimer!

Sorry no pics from me yet (don't know how to post and a little nervous about doing so). I am 51 and started on here at 144.8 on June 3. I had been close to 150 and lost a few pounds before joining here. I am currently at 129.7 with a goal weight of 125. The photo in my profile pictures of me on the 4-wheeler is at about…

Congrats! It is so difficult to continue eating healthy when you are in that environment. I have living quarters in my trailer and stock it healthy...but even then it is difficult.

I miss riding English. :-( My novice show horse was an all-around and I did both western and english equitation on him. My junior horse is only 15.1 or 15.2 so I am done with English unless i get a second horse. Preparing for my big shows for the equitation was such good exercise. I always rode bareback and practiced by…

I agree with the above poster...the Joseph's pita bread makes a great little pizza crust for 60 calories. 5 minutes in the oven, remove and add a tablespoon or so of pizza sauce, 3 oz. of low-fat mozzarella, 5 more minutes in the oven and you get yourself a REAL pizza at a fraction of the calories. Great snack or light…

Love this thread (and can we start one about calories burned cantering?)... If it just takes a quick 10 or 15 minutes to do my barn chores, I don't log anything. If I work out there for a significant time, I will log as light/moderate cleaning. If I am stripping stalls, dragging shavings, and hay bales, etc. I will log as…

I am about 30 minutes from the nearest My Fit Food store in North Texas and try to make it during the weekend to buy my lunches for the next week. We also always buy the Killah Chili in large for hubby and I to have one night during the week. I would use them even more if they were closer. I tried the breakfasts, but I…
