I have some pretty ridiculous back problems that have been acting up lately so I haven't done anything but diet for a while. Before it got to be 1000 degrees everyday I was hiking pretty consistently, at least 3 times a week, but it's just too hot for that now lol

I've been looking in magazines and online and such but I haven't gone into a store yet. When we go on vacation to Massachusetts we're going to stop by that Vows store from I Found the Gown just so I can get an idea of what I like. I probably won't actually buy the dress until 6-9 months out. I'm not going to get a designer…

My dad was actually just commenting about this earlier today. He's in his 60's but he's been having a lot of unusual knee and back pain lately. He's thinking about just switching from a low fat diet to eating healthy amounts of whole foods to see if the extra fat will help lubricate his joints a bit

Wow! I didn't expect this to blow up like it did! Thanks to everyone for their opinions. I'm going to start this either Friday or Saturday (depending on when I go shopping) and stick with it for 2 weeks (I get paid bi-weekly) to see what happens. Thanks again!

I don't have a gall bladder...do you know how that changes things? And I drink a lot of water so I'm not terribly concerned about gout. I'd probably step it up a bit to make sure though

This sounds a lot like me: I used to eat fast food every single day, pizza, fries, pasta etc, but as a recovering carb-aholic, Knowing that you can go from just like me to keto is really inspiring :)

I got to where I am by eating what I like. If I can ...idk...train myself to not like carbs I think I could do it.

I went for a walk at a National Park in my area...took the path further than I usually go, took a different trail back, then went for a walk with my sister after she got off work, plus the normal walking around during the day.

I had an epic first day of this challenge! 12.16 miles according to my Fitbit!

Lol well I've got the job and such....but the cost of living is so high here that I can't afford to live on my own. Hopefully my BF will be getting a new job soon and we can live together :) I know my mom wants me to move out lol

Can I still join this? I'm in desperate need of a pedicure and told myself I wouldn't get one until I lose 20 pounds.

They are, they're based out of New York but have been making their way down the east coast into MD and VA. They're good enough that I'll drive 20 miles past my local grocery stores to shop their instead lol

Is it really? I felt like it's not that bad when you compare it to other trails..it's the hardest at Great Falls but I didn't realize it was really that tough :)

Thanks, he did join so we'll see how it goes. He talks about wanting to get his body back to where it was when he was 18, hopefully he'll have the motivation to do it. From what I understand he had lost a good bit of weight back then but didn't do it in the most healthy way. Fingers crossed that MFP will show him the right…
