43yo. Weighed 350 lbs back in the late 90's, but have yo-yo'd for years. Got down to 196 a year & half ago using MFP but after I quit, I slowly gained back up to 250. Now I'm at 232 trying to get back down around 200. Friends appreciated. I need people who send messages on this site from time to time to give it a personal…

Awesome job. You look so good. Very inspiring. After reading your story and seeing your transformation, I've made up my mind to go the gym tonight. Thanks for the boost!!!!!

I think it depends on which affects your self esteem more. For me personally, binging would likely set me up to get discouraged & start eating like I did before. At this point in my life, losing weight is very important to me. I think we all need an occasional guilty pleasure to get us through....whether it's a doughnut or…

I don't lie. I'm honest about it. As other's have said - you only hurt yourself. The only exception is that I don't log zero calorie foods such as pickles or diet soda. The sodium will obviously be underestimated as a result, but I'm not monitoring my sodium intake at this time. I'm more concerned with calories, protein &…

My sister had lap band & I have 2 brothers that had gastric bypass. My sister had a lot of problems keeping food down for the longest time. She lost down to her ideal weight but she didn't make the lifestyle choices necessary to maintain & she learned to "bypass" the benefits of the band by drinking fluids with the junk…

You are a naturally attractive woman....before & after. That smile of yours is amazing & the transformation you have made to your body is inspiring. You must be beaming with confidence right now. Well done pretty lady! I wish you much continued success.

You look like a model. Amazing transformation!

Obesity is the norm here in Kentucky. I'm not a small guy (yet) but I'm probably average or smaller than the typical 40 year old guy around here.

I have lost 130 lbs from my highest weight. That's been years ago, though. I am now working on the last 30 lbs to reach my goal. It would be awesome to give each other support. Feel free to add me.

I notice the same problem if I eat a high carb breakfast. If I keep the breakfast on the lower carb side, I don't get hungry until at least lunch time. Supposedly breakfast kick-starts your metabolism so I wouldn't recommend skipping it. If you are eating a bowl of cereal or mostly bread & fruit in the morning, that may be…

Oddly, I heard that comment for the first time last week from a friend of mine. I didn't find it offensive, I just thought it sounded weird. It takes away from the compliment a little when a phrase like "no homo" is attached to it.

I lean heavily on Caffeine Free Diet Coke. I drink a lot more diet soda than you do. I enjoy it and it's zero calories. I do agree that water is probably much better for you than any diet soda could ever be. With that being said, my personal view is that life is full of choices. If the diet Dr. Pepper is what helps you get…

Awesome job. You've gone from fluffy to rocking-the-curves! Well done!

You look great. Congrats on your achievement. I'm also very jealous of that organized closet in the background.....my bathroom closet looks like a tornado just touched down!

I'm 40 & have 40 more pounds to lose. I certainly appreciate encouragement, as well. I find it very motivating to have friends on here that actually post comments from time to time to offer support. I will admit that I enjoy looking at other's daily food journals because it gives me ideas on low calorie meals......so feel…
